One thing we must guard against spiritually is the Devil’s fakin’ and shakin’ of these supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Satan is a deceiver. The bible says he sometimes appears as an angel of light. – A PERPETRATING angel, II Corinthians 11:14. There will even be a fakin’ and shakin’ Christ called the Antichrist.

In all of history, anything that was of value has almost invariably had some ...form of PERPETRATION. Naturally, then, we can expect the Devil to PERPETRATE the nine gifts of the Spirit. Some people cannot see the real for the PERPETRATION, but I believe the Spirit of God within us will reveal to us whether or not something is real. No one should ever be confused about what is real and what is PERPETRATION. God wants us to know these things!

The gift of the word of God’s wisdom is the ability to know and understand about future events. Every great prophet of the Old and New Testaments functioned in this gift, and today there are men and women who supernaturally know things that are to come to pass. We sincerely feel that we have come to that place in history when this gift is going to be tremendously increased, whether it is called prophetic ministry or the gift of the word of wisdom. God has always wanted to show His people the future.

He sent and angel to inform Abraham in advance the He was going to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of their terrible wickedness. God does not want to hide from us the things He is going to do. In I Corinthians 12:8-10 God gives us an outline of the true gifts of the Holy Spirit: For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom.

Has the Devil sought to PERPETRATE the word of wisdom? Yes, and not just from the beginning of the Church, but from the beginning of time. These PERPETRATORS are called witches. A witch is a person who seeks to know from supernatural sources other than God things not known normally or naturally. Their supernatural source is the Devil. No wonder the Bible says in many places that the land should be free of witches. Why? Because they try to assume the place of God. They lead people to worship the wrong entity.

You cannot worship both the Living God and the Devil at the same time. Anyone who follows the satanic PERPETRATION of the gifts of the Spirit will never see heaven or God. We oppose these PERPETRATORS, not only because they are worthless, but because they lead to destruction. If one is going to dabble in the occult to try to know the future, he will only know damnation and sorrow. He will not find that which his heart desires. He will not know truth, only deception.The Devil has no relationship with truth. Jesus said of the Devil:…there is no truth in him….for he is a liar, and the father of it, John 8:44. He was a liar from the beginning, and he always will be. If you believe him, you will be deceived.

Witches, soothsayers, and magicians seek to know the future and the unknown by satanic powers. God says we should not be part of these people. In II Corinthians 11:13 such are called false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. Verse 14 says: Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. It is no marvel then that his ministers are also transformed into false ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works (v.15).

Above all, God wants us to live in truth. If there is a problem ahead, we need to know about it. Whether it is a problem in our ministry, our home, or our church, we need to be aware so we can deal with it. God wants us to know. Some ministers say, “ Don’t talk about the Devil, you are eulogizing him.” Closing our eyes to Satan and his devices does not take them away.

Whenever I talk about the Devil, he is not eulogized. He is greatly offended, greatly hurt, and greatly defeated!

The Devil does have PERPETRATORS, and the Word of God warns us that they pose as apostles and prophets. We must be on guard against them. How can we recognize such people? You will know every man by his fruits, Matthew 12:33. You will know every person by the spirit that is within him. God will reveal these things to us through prayer and listening to His still, small voice as the Spirit speaks to us.

I must say emphatically regarding the word of Wisdom that if anyone stands and offers himself as a prophet of God to tell you the future, just check one thing: Does it come to pass? If it does not, then he is to be branded for what he is: a false prophet!

The Church of Jesus Christ is no place for Drama! In our church fellowship we permit no foolishness within the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ. If anyone wishes to prophesy about the future, we say, “Go ahead, but it had better come to pass!” We permit no false prophets to function in our midst. God knows what He is doing; and if someone says something that is wrong, then we have no need to hear from him again. We want to hear from the Holy Ghost. We want the gifts of the Spirit to function, but they can function only through the Body of Christ – holy and pure and clean at heart!

God’s people do not need witches or soothsayers or magicians to know what God is going to do in the future. I feel very sorry for people who always want to know what is going to happen tomorrow. What is going to happen, will happen. Why should we worry? If we walk with Jesus, it is going to be good! All you have to do is to live for Him – love Him and serve Him – and everything will be good! If you are going to walk by faith let Him hold the future. Just say: “ Lord Jesus, You hold the future, so I know it will be good, I’m satisfied!

Know who you are as a child of God! Know why you worship and praise HIM! Know what church means! Know why you go fellowship! Know what it is and who it you are seeking! Know the fruits and Gifts of the Spirit! Know what Gifts you have! Know the offices and what the functions are so when you see false evidence then you can call it out instead of hoping somebody else does it for you! Stop the ON THE GO DEVOTION!
