Our Prayer For Monday November 30, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 72 (King James Version)
Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight. There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen. The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
COMMENTARY:
Here, David begins with a Prayer for Solomon. This psalm belongs to Solomon in part, but to Christ more fully and clearly. Solomon was both the king and the king's son, and his pious father desired that the wisdom of God might be in him, that his reign might be a remembrance of the kingdom of the Messiah. It is the prayer of a father for his child; a dying blessing. The best we can ask of God for our children is, that God would give them wisdom and grace to know and to do their duty. He passes into a prophecy of the glories of his reign, and of Christ's kingdom. This is a prophecy of the kingdom of Christ; many passages in it cannot be applied to the reign of Solomon. There were righteousness and peace at first in the administration of his government; but, before the end of his reign, there were troubles and unrighteousness. The kingdom here spoken of is to last as long as the sun, but Solomon's was soon at an end. Even the Jewish expositors understood it of the kingdom of the Messiah. Observe many great and precious promises here made, which were to have full accomplishment only in the kingdom of Christ. As far as His kingdom is set up, discord and contentions cease, in families, churches, and nations. The law of Christ, written in the heart, disposes men to be honest and just, and to render to all their due; it likewise disposes men to live in love, and so produces abundance of peace. Holiness and love shall be lasting in Christ's kingdom. Through all the changes of the world, and all the changes of life, Christ's kingdom will support itself. And He shall, by the graces and comforts of His Spirit, come down like rain upon the mown grass; not on that cut down, but that which is left growing, that it may spring again. His gospel has been, or shall be, preached to all nations. Though He needs not the services of any, yet he must be served with the best. Those that have the wealth of this world, must serve Christ with it, do good with it. Prayer shall be made through him, or for His sake; whatever we ask of the Father, should be in His name. Praises shall be offered to Him: we are under the highest obligations to Him. Christ only shall be feared throughout all generations. To the end of time, and to eternity, His name shall be praised. All nations shall call HIM blessed.
PRAYER:
O' Holy and Precious Lord God, our Father in Heaven. Lord we come again this morning before You in Prayer and praise. Thank You Lord God, for all that You have saw fit to wake us up this morning. Thank You God, that You have kept watch over us as we slept, and allowed no harm or danger to come near our doors. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, our God, Thank You. Father we give You Thanks this day, for all of the Blessings of family and those that love us. Thank You for our children, who are a Blessing from You. Lord we know that through some word or action that we have offend You. we ask You now in Your most Holy name, Christ Jesus, to forgive us our sins. Thank You Lord that You have searched our hearts and minds, and if there is anything that is not of You, You have purged it, and that the blood that was shared there on the cross was payment in full for our sins. we know that Lord, but we still feel that we must be honest with You and acknowledge, when we fall short, we also know that You are our Adonai-Jehovah, and that You know our laying down and rising up, but we want to ourselves confess our sins before You, and to tell You how sorry we are. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Thank You, that while we were yet sinners You loved us so much that You died for us, Thank You that You have told us thru Your Holy Word; "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world, Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account, Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, our Father God, Thank You. Bless the LORD, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word! Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will, Bless the LORD, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul!, Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all stars of light! He is to sing praises, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing. we will Bless You Lord at all times, Your name shall continually be in our mouths. O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus, The Only Name By Which Any Man Can Be Saved. Thanks be unto God, who has given us the victory. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Holy Father God, we ask this day that You keep our men and women who are fighting wars, the children, the sick, the man and woman who are looking for employment. we know that You are a God, that can make a way out of no way, and we are asking that You do so in all of theses our concerns. Thank You Most Holy and High God, Thank You Beloved Savior, Christ Jesus. Thank You, that You also told us that; God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed, And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose, If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love, If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them, But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does, Whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight, For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified, Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Thank You Christ Jesus, Thank You Lord who is Lord of our lives. All Glory To God In The Highest.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
