Our Prayer For Today, Friday, August 28, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 7 (King James Version)
O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. O LORD my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:) Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah. Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded. So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high. The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me. Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors. Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
COMMENTARY:
The psalmist prays to God to plead his cause, and judge for him. David flees to God for help. For Christ Jesus, alone could call on Heaven to attest his uprightness in all things. All His works were wrought in righteousness; and the prince of this world found nothing whereof justly to accuse him. Yet for our sakes, submitting to be charged as guilty, He suffered all evils, but, being innocent, he triumphed over them all. The plea is, to For the righteous God trieth the hearts and the reins. He knows the secret wickedness of the wicked, and how to bring it to an end; He is witness to the secret sincerity of the just, and has ways of establishing it. When a man has made peace with God about all his sins, upon the terms of Grace and Mercy, through the sacrifice of the Christ Jesus, our Savior, and Mediator, he may, in comparison with his enemies, appeal to God's justice to decide. Amen.
PRAYER:
In The name of our Precious Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, we come before you Father, our Lord Christ Jesus, in Prayer and Praise. Thank You Lord, for keeping us to see another day, Thank You that we arise this day, with determination to do Your will. Thank You Lord, that we know that greater is He that is in us then he that is in this world. Thank You Lord, that we shall Bless the LORD, O our soul, and all that is within us, Bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O our soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all our iniquities, who heals all our diseases; who redeems our life from the pit, who crowns us with loving kindness and compassion; who satisfies our years with good things, so that our youth is renewed like the eagle. This day, we SHOUT joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing. for we bare witness and know that the LORD Himself is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Thank You Lord, Thank You. we shall enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. We shall give Thanks to You, and Bless Your name. For You our Lord, is good; Your loving kindness is everlasting and Your faithfulness to all generations. O Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord that You have given unto us the power to bind up the hands of satan, and that he has no power over none of Your children. Thank You Lord, that he has already been defeated. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Glory To God, Thank You. And we Pray, that You please keep pouring Your Grace out on us, and our love ones. Thank You Lord, Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord, please give us a rich measure of Your Holy Spirit so that we lead a Godly life as Your true children. Christ Jesus, You rescued us from sin, death, and the power of the devil. We Thank You Lord, that we are covered by Your Precious Blood. O Glory To God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Please help us show our faith by putting our gratitude into action, for You told us through Your word that we must, " Prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was." Thank You Lord, that we desire to do that which is Your will for us. Thank You Lord. O Lord, lead us in Your righteousness because of our foes; make Your way straight before us. Thank You Lord, Thank You. You said that if we were obedient, that, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you", Thank You Lord, Christ Jesus. We ask that You, Lead us in Your truth and teach us, for You are the God of our Salvation; for You we wait all the day. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord as You servants per pare to feed Your children this Sunday, i Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, that You have already sent the Holy Spirit, before them, making the way straight. Thank You Lord, that not one Word spoken on You behalf, shall come back void. Thank You Christ Jesus, that we know that You have told us, Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night, Let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God, In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full, Thank You Lord, Thank You. For we know that You told us, If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord, You above anyone knows every one of our needs, Thank You that Your perfect will for us, has already been done. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord, we love You and seek only to please You. Thank You for another chance to be of service to You, and do Your perfect will. That we know that not even satan himself, can prevail against the gates of the Church, and we know that we must, therefore by the mercies of God, to present our bodies a living and Holy sacrifice, acceptable to You our God, which is our Spiritual service of worship. In the Holy, precious name of Christ Jesus, right now, we bind up everything that would attempt to hinder, the Word of God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus from going forth. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives.
Now unto Him who is more then able to keep us, until the day of His coming, We give You Thanks this day, most Beloved Christ Jesus, as every day for the rest of our lives. Father, this day, i in the name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in the Holy and Precious name of Christ Jesus. i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands Lord Christ Jesus.
