VERSE:
Psalm 6 (King James Version)
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long? Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
COMMENTARY:
The Psalmist deprecates God's wrath, and begs for the return of His favour. These verses speak the language of a heart truly humbled, of a broken and contrite spirit under great afflictions, sent to awaken conscience and mortify corruption. Sickness brought sin to his remembrance, and he looked upon it as a token of God's displeasure against him. The affliction of his body will be tolerable, if he has comfort in his soul.
Every page of Scripture proclaims the fact, that salvation is only of the Lord. Man is a sinner, his case can only be reached by Mercy; and never is Mercy more illustrious than in restoring backsliders. With good reason we may Pray, that if it be the will of God, and He has any further work for us or our friends to do in this world, He will yet spare us or them to serve Him. To depart and be with Christ Jesus, is happiest for the saints; but for them to abide in the flesh is more profitable for the Church. Amen!
PRAYER:
O Most Precious Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, We truly Thank You this day as always, for Your loving kindness You have shown us Your children. We come before You this morning once again, Thanks to Your love for us, to give You all the Prasie and Glory. Thank You Lord, Christ Jesus, You made us, and have provided for us and protected us every day of our lives. You are most truly our loving Father. For this we Thank You. we Thank You for providing for our daily needs. we Thank You for Your rich Blessings. we Thank You for protecting us from all evil, for guarding us in perilous times, and for defending us from all our enemies. we haven't done anything to deserve this goodness, but we ask you to continue to bless us, protect us until the day of Your coming. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, our Father, Thank You. we give You Thanks this day, that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, that through You Holy Word, we know for sure that, There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities, As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come, God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him, He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God, Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life, For I will be merciful to their iniquities and I will remember their sins no more, I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins, Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon, I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the LORD'; and You forgave the guilt of my sin, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, 'Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night, And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death, Straightening up, Jesus said to her, 'Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?' She said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said, 'I do not condemn you, either, Go. From now on sin no more. O Glory To God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Thank You Savior. Our Beloved Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives. We love You, Father, and give You all the Praise. Thank You.
Now unto Him who is more then able to keep us, until the day of His coming, We give You Thanks this day, Christ Jesus, and every day for the rest of our lives, and this day, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in the Holy and Precious name of Christ Jesus. i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands Lord Christ Jesus.
Amen.
