VERSE:
Psalm 96 (King James Version)
O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
COMMENTARY:
Here we see a call to all people to praise God. When Christ finished His work on earth, and was received into His glory in heaven, the church began to sing a new song unto Him, and to bless His name. His apostles and evangelists showed forth His salvation among the heathen, His wonders among all people. All the earth is here summoned to worship the Lord. We must worship Him in the beauty of Holiness, as God in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. Glorious things are said of him, both as motives to praise and matter of praise. We are to hope and Pray for that time, when Christ shall reign in righteousness over all nations. He shall rule in the hearts of men, by the power of truth, and the Spirit of righteousness. His coming draws nigh; this King, this Judge standeth before the door, but He is not yet come. The Lord will accept the praises of all who seek to promote the kingdom of Christ. The sea can but roar, and how the trees of the wood can show that they rejoice we know not; but He that searches the heart knows what is the mind of the Spirit, and understands the words, the broken language of the weakest. Christ will come to judge the earth, to execute just vengeance on His enemies, and to fulfil His largest promises to His people. What then are we? Would that day be welcome to us? If this be not our case, let us now begin to prepare to meet our God, by seeking the pardon of our sins, and the renewal of our souls to Holiness.
PRAYER:
Most Holy and Mighty Father God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. we come before You this day in Prayer and praise. Lord God, we thank You for all that You have done, and all that You are going to do in the lives of all of us Your children. Thank You Precious Father that You have seen fit to bring us to this moment, in this day. Thank You that You allowed no harm or danger to come unto our doors, and that You stayed the hands of satan, who comes to rob and steal, from those who through Your shading of Your blood are righteous, in Your sight. Thank You Heavenly Father that we know that You will never leave or forsake any of us, and that You have taught us that if any of us have sinned, that if we call on Your Holy name, Christ Jesus, that we will be saved. Thank You Lord God, that we are calling on Your Holy name now. Thank You Father, Lord Christ Jesus that we know that You hear our Prayers. Thank You. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, the only name by which any of us can be saved. Thank You Father, Lord and Savior Christ Jesus our God Thank You. Your praise shall forever be in out mouths. Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand to make great, and to give strength unto all, Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name, I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high, Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications, The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him, Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever, I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities, REJOICE in the LORD, O ye righteous for praise is comely for the upright, Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings, Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth, He loveth righteousness and judgment, the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD, Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant, And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness [and] of thy praise all the day long. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, our Father in Heaven, Thank You. Father we ask that You Bless all of us Your children this day, even those here and in far away places, who have yet to know You as their Savior. Thank You Lord and Savior, that You told us that You will have Mercy on whom You have Mercy, and that while we were yet sinners You died for us. O' what a wonderful Savior You are, that Your Grace and Mercy endures forever. Father we have no fear of any man, for You have told us that; The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe, You will laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the beasts of the earth, The Lord will keep you from all harm, he will watch over your life the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore, They will no longer be plundered by the nations, nor will wild animals devour them. They will live in safety and no one will make them afraid, About Benjamin he said: "Let the beloved in the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders, I am a creature of God, and he has an undoubted right to do with me as seemeth good in his sight, I rejoice that I am in his hand - that he is everywhere present and can protect me in one place as well as in another, Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, do not be frightened, But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For Surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield, Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You Lord Father God. Thank You. For this reason we give all over into Your mighty hands, and can say that we have no fear of anyone. For we know what You have told us, and we believe and that is that, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints". Thank You Most Precious Lord, Christ Jesus our God, Thank You. we ask that You lead and guided us into all things that You would have us do, and say this day and forever. Thank You Father, Thank You.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and every one of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
Amen.
