Revival, do you seek revival? Has the empowering spirit within you somewhat diminished. How about the church atmosphere, is it not what it used to be? Perhaps we as a whole can pray for a revival that will touch the hearts of every man, women and child in and outside the church walls. To take not only the message of Jesus Christ out to our communities, but also take the love of Christ and to heal the burdened and hurting souls simply waiting for God's touch. Let us pray for our leaders as they move to better not only our communities, but also our country. Let us pray for courage to be able to stand, when others may fall. Let us stand in the gap for our communities and be a voice for the silent and the meek. In Ezekiel 22:30 we read where God was searching for just one man who would arise and be that voice. And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.May God not only find one man or one woman, but may he find in our community an army of Godly soldiers ready and willing to move on the leading of the Holy Spirit. May each person receive from God what it is they need, and may his people be the vessels in which they are carried. Let us stand as a whole, not as individual bodies, and let that voice be loud and strong. In our history books we read of a gentleman named Sir Francis Drake, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth1. He wrote a poem moving and inspiring us to believe large, and to live boldly for Christ. It Reads:Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, when our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little, when we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us, Lord, when With the abundance of things we possess We have lost our thirst For the waters of life; Having fallen in love with life, We have ceased to dream of eternity And in our efforts to build a new earth, We have allowed our vision Of the new Heaven to dim. Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture on wider seas Where storms will show your mastery; Where losing sight of land,As Christians we know that with God all things are possible. In are communities we face challenges both small and large. Let us remember with God there is no task to large, and nothing is impossible. Revival starts within each one of us, as God moves and empowers us to speak a good word to our neighbor, invite them to church, to fellowship at your home. Or just a warm greeting, representing Christ in our actions. Let us try to remember God in all we do, and as a great Christian song says:Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace.Revival like none has ever seen is near, and waits at the door, simply waiting for us to open the door. Let us do this for the glory of God hand in hand, united and strong, and we shall see God move in mighty ways.
