Running From The Call Of God
You walk with a huge stride trying to slip and slide as the Holy Spirit clenches you at your side, whispering the old clinche'-you can run but you can't hide. God is calling your name. You're wondering how could this be, for I'm too good at my worldly game. How could I ever be tamed? If I work for the Lord, my life would never be the same. You fall on your knees asking God how can this be. Why me, O Lord, why me? God replying, "In time my child you'll see." You think you can't accept this task because you're scared. Leading others to Christ is too much to bear. All your friends will think you're peculiar and square. But God has carried you and the one who really cares.
