Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
A Sacrosanct Deliverance
Re-birthing deliverance from our own wounded wombs and a healing that will cause impartation and manifestation of the spirit in our ministries and gifts.
9 Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast.10 From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God. (Psalms 22:9-10)
One of the most troubling and puzzling misfortunes that is affecting the ministry and the body of Christ today is the question of why our births, our gifts, our ministries are not coming into existence. Even after long periods of being pregnant in the spirit and surviving the excruciating task of labor and delivery we are not seeing our godly commissions come to fruition. We are not seeing the authenticity of our assignments being fulfilled. It is my attempt in a two part series to approach this subject by a parallel observation of the correspondence of the physical and spiritual similarities of “the labor” we must undergo in the delivery of childbirth and the delivery afterbirth.
The Delivery and Deliverance of Childbirth
The Middle Assyrians wrote of a woman’s difficulty in labor the mother whose “door is blocked”. These are a few lines of one such incantation:
“The woman in travail has great difficulty in giving birth
She has great difficulty in giving birth; she is stuck with the baby.
She is stuck with the baby to the point of ending her life. The bolt is lowered; the door is closed for suckling. , the opening of the womb is blocked
The mother is enveloped in the dust of death,
like a chariot she is enveloped in a dust of battle of battle,
like a plough she is enveloped in a dust of battle of yokes.
like a fighting warrior she is cast down in her blood….”
The Hebrew the verb “Qashah” is used to define “to be hard, difficult, and severe”. We can find the words “hard labor” is used in the Bible regarding childbirth in the Old Testament: “This is a day of distress, of rebuke, and of disgrace; children have come to birth, and there is no strength to bring them forth” (2Kings 19:4) In Genesis35:16-20 we learn that Rachel died in childbirth.
The bible refers to labor and delivery of childbirth as an adversity:
Isaiah 13:8
And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. (KJV)
Nahum 2:10 She is empty, desolate, and waste!
The heart melts, and the knees shake;
Much pain is in every side,
And all their faces are drained of color. (KJV)
Micah 4:9-10 9Now why do you cry aloud?
(A) Is there no king in you?
(B) Has your counselor perished,
that(C) pain seized you like a woman in labor? (KJV)
Any woman who has given birth knows the labor required , the physical pain of contractions- the tightening of the muscles of the womb that occurs at increasingly frequent intervals immediately before childbirth and eventually pushes the baby out of the womb. But there are also the thoughts of anxiety of complications during and after the delivery. One contemplates and worries if they have done all required in delivering a healthy infant. How many times did we rush to the hospital only to be sent back or was wheeled away to the birthing room only to be told it was not time yet? We worry if we will be that responsible, good and perfect mother? Will we be strong enough and wise enough to protect our child from the misfortunes and evils of the world? I believe these same pangs we suffer in the natural, we suffer in the spirit; it is the rite of passage of birthing. Somewhere along the way we forget who the Giver of the gift is; and if we heed, abide and obey in Him {God} that all will work according to His perfect plan ( Romans 8:28); and the dragon is already defeated by our faith and obedience to God.
The Woman and the Dragon
We are also taught:
The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
The word in Revelations goes on to say that;
15Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
In questioning me… the whys… of why I as well as others are not accomplishing what we knew was spoken by way of the Holy Spirit to us. I ascertained I had to strive to do more. I began to pray more; study the word more and meditated on the word more to find answers and most important I began to exercise my faith more.
2 Philippians 1:9 - Paul prayed for their love to abound more and more
Peter 3:18 - but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 4:14, 15 - Be no longer children, but grow up in Christ
1 Peter 2:2 - Desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby
One of the conditions for becoming a child of God is REPENTANCE. One must determine to turn from sin and GO TO WORK in God's vineyard. Then one must bring forth the FRUITS of repentance. This will lead us to grow and improve in God's work. Otherwise, we have not accomplished our purpose for becoming children of God. (Pratt, David E. Steps to Spiritual Maturity: How We Grow up in Christ)
I heard “this will not be an easy delivery, for the yearning of your heart will not be sufficient. Before you can give birth to what I have planted, you must rid yourself from all that has misaligned; twisted and broken you. There must be a re-birthing of self from self; deliverance out of your own wounded womb. Wounds caused by generational curses, mistreatment of self by self, as well as others, misguided traditional thinking and living”. Just as a pregnant woman in the natural must change what she consumes in her body to remain health and not to pass on toxins to her unborn; so must we who are pregnant in the spirit guard against contaminating ourselves and our spiritual gifts and ministries.
What are these spirits of contaminations that crave to invade our womb and stand waiting to devour our gifts and ministries before birth or in its infancy? They are unbelief, self-doubt, fear, unforgiveness of past transgressions, pride, arrogance and unteachable spirits. How do we recognize and destroy them; by exercising our faith and obedience to God’s Holy Word.
And ...The Holy Ghost chastised me saying “Have I not told you, I Am covering you; your trust in My Word is your faith in My Doing and your comfort in My Peace”. - Prophetess Sandra Dukes
In closing I refer to the words of the Apostle Paul who said it best,
“To him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:4-5).
David Wilkerson author of Christ Has Won the Battle For You- states “Our victory must come not through weeping or striving, but by faith that Jesus Christ has won the battle for us”.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him” (Hebrews 11:6). Indeed, Paul says there is only one condition attached to God’s promises: “[That] ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard” (Colossians 1:23).
Christ surrendered everything to his Father, in order to be a totally obedient Son. And we are to do likewise. We are to be totally dependent on the Father, just as Christ was.
Father God in the Name of Jesus we decree and declare because of you we are able to move forward, and while we walk this road together let us pray for each other; talk, teach, learn and, receive from each other .Let us receive the planter, the one that waters and the one that cultivates to accomplish and be granted Your promise. Thank you Father for redeeming us in Jesus Name Amen (Deuteronomy 31:7-8; 31:23)
