STANDING ON THE ROCK
(PSALM 147:3 NCV)
HE HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED AND BANDAGES THEIR WOUNDS.
God loves us and protects us. In times of trouble, he comforts us; in times of sorrow, He dries our tears. Psalm 147 promises, "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds their wounds" (v.3, NASB). When we are troubled, we must call upon God, and-in His own time and according to His own plan-He will heal us.
Do you feel fearful or weak or sorrowful? Are you discouraged or bitter? Do you feel "stuck" in a place that is uncomfortable for you? If so, remember that God is as near as your next breath. So trust Him and turn to him for solace, for security, and for salvation. And build your life on the rock that cannot be shaken...that rock is God.
If the Father knows when a sparrow falls, don't you think He's aware of where you are, what your need is, and what your concern is? Rest in that.
