Rising (Jesus) rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and it was completely calm. And he said: Why are you so afraid? Have you no faith? Then they feared exceedingly, and said to each other: Who is this that even wind and sea obey him?
Mark 4:39-41
Like the disciples on the boat during the storm, believers go through the rough seas of this world to reach the eternal shore, the sky promised to all who put their trust in Jesus.
And if Jesus is in our boat, even if it seems to sleep, not wrecked, because our fate is tied to yours. Note that he was in the back of the boat where the rudder.
The disciples did not understand how Jesus could sleep in such circumstances and woke him saying, "Teacher, do not you care if we perish?
The same is true today, when we went through difficult times, we tend to think that the Lord sleeps and does not care about us. What a mistake! Did she give him the command, "Let the other side "? The disciples still did not understand that Jesus was the Lord Almighty, and had not paid enough attention to his words. If they had believed they would have been sure to come, despite the storm. We have this promise on his part: "Here I am with you always ..." Matthew 28:20.
With Jesus in the boat of our life we should not fear anything. Raging waves can hit our boat and winds may shake our life, but with Jesus we are always safe.
