Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Somewhere outside of Largo, MD. All alone. Discouraged, and perhaps even a bit depressed. Questioning myself. Confused about the direction my life was taking. Wondering about God's plan. Even questioning whether or not God cared, or was listening.
Years ago, that is where I found myself. It seemed as if the wheels were coming off my life, and I was simply driving aimlessly around. When my phone rang, I answered, albeit hesitantly. "Where are you Dr. Williams?" my friend asked? When I told her, my friend said, "stay right there... I'm on my way."
The caller was Dr. Lucille Banks Robinson-Miller. The next few hours felt like fresh water to a dying man of thirst. Lucille prayed with me. She poured spiritual comfort and grace into my very soul. She affirmed and encouraged me. She believed in God's work alive in my life. It was if she came along side of me as a mother, sister, friend and fellow warrior. Still, not everything in my life made sense, but now I knew for sure that I wasn't facing it alone.
Life is tough. Struggles, trials and hard times will come. When they do, look around you. God is probably bringing someone along side of you to pour grace into your life. Grace to turn your life around so that one day, you can help turn someone else's life around. Thank you Dr. Miller for all you invested in me. Your dream for my life became a reality. I will eternally be grateful God sent you my way.
Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for using others as an extension of your love, mercy and grace. Now, I am able to do the same thing for others as you allowed others to do for me. Bless that this cycle of Your mercies be continued throughout the Ages. It is i Jesus' wonderful name I trust, pray and believe. Amen.

Press along my brother. God's purpose is not always experienced during the pain, but, ultimately, you see that the victory gain, was greater than the pain.
