THE BLESSING OF STRENGTH

Strength is an important character quality. However, most of us don't want to be known for their rippling muscles, flexed to iron firmness, not that most of us work to achieve that physical condition.

However, there are other kinds of strength besides physical strength. And old movie called Steel Magnolias honored the power of the inner strength that can be found in women. Emotional strength carries us through painful losses and relationship difficulties. Spiritual strength draws us closer to God, helping us withstand temptations and doubts.

Of course, the actual source of all strength is God. He is the iron rod that will hold us up; keep us going when we think we can't take another step; move us forward when we can't see the path. He loves us, and because of that love He promises never to leave us; promises to walk with us through whatever life brings. He promises to be our strength when we haven't got the strength to lift our head or hand.


Dear Father, thank you for being our strength, for guiding us through life's difficulties and for never leaving us alone. We know that we can do anythng because You are with us. AMEN!
