Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
According to the Epistle of Paul, in ICorinthians we see (among other points in this chapter, just bringing out a small bit of this point) there are diversities of gifts and operations of the Spirit; and it is God through the Holy Spirit who gives certain gifts to certain people-given not as they will, but as He wills. If one has really been given one or more of the gifts of the Spirit, that person to whom the gift or gifts have been given will never boast about it. Neither will he advertise it. It is the Holy Spirit who manifests His power through a body of flesh (vessel), not our will nor our way, but His will and His way. Therefore, that one who has so yielded himself in complete consecration to the Lord to be used of Him, will recognize the fact that God has given him a special gift. When one is really, truly filled with the Spirit, he will demonstrate humility. There will be no spiritual pride in that person.
