Our Prayer For Wednesday December 9, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 79 (King James Version)
O god, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps. The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth. Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them. We are become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us. How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name. For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place. O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed. Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; And render unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord. So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
COMMENTARY:
Here we see the deplorable condition of the people of God. God is complained to: whither should children go but to a Father able and willing to help them? See what a change sin made in the holy city, when the heathen were suffered to pour in upon them. God's own people defiled it by their sins, therefore he suffered their enemies to defile it by their insolence. They desired that God would be reconciled. Those who desire God's favor as better than life, cannot but dread his wrath as worse than death. In every affliction we should first beseech the Lord to cleanse away the guilt of our sins; then he will visit us with his tender mercies.Those who persist in ignorance of God, and neglect of Prayer, are the ungodly. How unrighteous some men were, the Lord was righteous in permitting them to do what they did. Deliverance from trouble are mercies indeed, when grounded upon the pardon of sin; we should therefore be more earnest in Prayer for the removal of our sins than for the removal of afflictions. They had no hopes but from God's mercies, His tender mercies. They plead no merit, they pretend to none, but, Help us for the glory of thy name; pardon us for thy name's sake. The Christian forgets not that he is often bound in the chain of his sins. The world to him is a prison; sentence of death is passed upon him, and he knows not how soon it may be executed. How fervently should he at all times Pray, O let the sighing of a prisoner come before thee, according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die! How glorious will the day be, when, triumphant over sin and sorrow, the Church beholds the adversary disarmed for ever! while that Church shall, from age to age, sing the praises of Her great Shepherd and Bishop, Her King and Her God.

Most Precious and Holy Lord God our Father in Heaven. we come again into Your Holy presence this day, in Prayer, Praise, and Thanks Giving. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, for waking us up this morning and keeping us from all harm and danger. Thank You that You have stayed the hand of satan, and that he is under our feet. Thank You Most loving Father God, Thank You, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Thank You. O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus. Father we as Your children confess that we may have sinned and fallen short, and we ask You to forgive us, we know that while we are in flesh it is very possible that we will slip up. So we daily ask Your forgiveness, for anything that we may have said, done, or thought that would have offended You. Thank You Lord, that we know that You have forgiven us, and that we confess because we know and except Your Lordship over our lives. Thank You Lord God our Christ Jesus, for the Blessed Holy Spirit, who teaches us that we must repent of our sins, and reminds us of all things, that are pleasing to You. Thank You that You are faithful and have forgiven us all of our sins, and paid the price for our sin debt once and for all by the shading of Your blood, on the cross. Thank You Blessed Christ Jesus, The Only Name By Which Any Man Can Be Saved. Thank You. we shall praise You Lord at all times; He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. we will say to the LORD, 'My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom we trust!, Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised; not one word has failed of all His good promise, which He promised through Moses His servant, Your loving kindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies, I will sing of the loving kindness of the LORD forever; to all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth. For I have said, "Loving kindness will be built up forever; in the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness. But I will not break off My loving kindness from him, nor deal falsely in My faithfulness. My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips, The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness. Beloved Savior our Lord, we ask that You please Bless, the men and women who are fighting wars. You know how very concern we all are, and that only You can keep them. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Father God, please Bless the man and woman who are concerned about their children, health, jobs, and homes. Most Precious Lord lead and guide them as to how You would have them to go about dealing with these issues. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, our Father God. Thank You. Most Holy God, our Lord, we as Your children are not ever ashamed of our suffering at the hands of evil men, for we know that You also suffered and was put to death by the same. And if they would put You who is without sin to death, what then should we expect, if we seek to follow You. So we proclaim with great confidence; Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him, For such is God, our God forever and ever; He will guide us until death, For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, O Death, where is your victory? O Death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD, The LORD is for me among those who help me; therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me, To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD, When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his aversaries, Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?, If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you, Hate evil, you who love the LORD, who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked, But I will deliver you on that day,' declares the LORD, and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. 'For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,' declares the LORD. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. O' Most Holy God Lord And Savior Christ Jesus, we love You, and To You all we do is to Your Glory, for we are filled with great joy, for You have told us; How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O LORD, they walk in the light of Your countenance. In Your name they rejoice all the day, and by Your righteousness they are exalted, You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and new wine abound, For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands, The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly, Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him, Light is sown like seed for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart. Be glad in the LORD, you righteous ones, and give thanks to His holy name, For then you will delight in the Almighty and lift up your face to God, These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. Truly The Joy Of You Our Lord Fills Our Hearts And Minds. Thank You Most Holy God Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, For We Proclaim That You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word. Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
