John 15:9-10: As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father¢s commands and remain in his love.
God loved us so much, that He sacrificed His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place, so we could live. Jesus loved us so much, that He volunteered to go on a rescue mission to save the world. Now all we have to do is accept His gift of salvation and love each other in the way He instructs us.

John 15:12: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
Valentine¢s Day was named after a Catholic priest who was martyred for his confession of faith in Jesus Christ. He was willing to die, because he knew that to live is Christ, but to die was eternal gain. We must display the love of Christ to everyone we meet, not just to friends and family, but also to those who we would consider as unlovable. We must see people the way God sees us.

Matthew 11:28-29: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Can you hear the Savior¢s gentle calling to us daily? He shines the warm sun on our faces and touches us with a finger of love to awaken us. He allows us to move about with the normal activity of our limbs. He keeps us safe from any harm that the enemy plots against us, and He gives us restful sleep. When we are lonely, He provides us with true friends who will love us and pray for us. When we are afraid, He comforts us with His Word. Let us give the Master our hearts, minds, souls, and undivided attention.

James 1:5: If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
God, who is of infinite wisdom, will give us grace and mercy to help us not make the same mistakes, and loves us enough to help us learn from them.
