Commit to Pray, and Never Give Up
Today's message is from Germaine Copeland.
Do not give up! Now is the time to pray! The spiritual walls of our nation are in disrepair. The situation may look overwhelming, but we serve a mighty God.
Never stop praying! The Holy Spirit, who is an intercessor who cannot fail, comes alongside and helps you when you don’t know how to pray. Prayer opens the door to a more intimate relationship with God, which places you in a position to pray in agreement with His will.
In Ezekiel 22:30, we see that God is calling for intercessors who will stand in the gap before Him on behalf of the land. These intercessors become a wall of faithful people united in their efforts to resist evil.
Standing in the gap is made effective by many spiritual tools; one of the most powerful is praise. What is praise? Praise eulogizes God, conveying the idea of boastful singing or speaking about His glorious virtues and honor. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Speak well of our Father, tell of His goodness, adore Him and give Him an audible celebration. Praise might be quiet and contemplative. Whether your praise is boisterous or quiet, it will still and silence the enemy (Ps. 8:2; 9:6). God inhabits the prayers of His people, and His manifested presence frustrates the tactics of the enemy.
Standing in the gap with joyful praise opens prison doors, preparing the way of salvation (Acts 16:25–26). Praise releases the power to overthrow satanic captivity! Praise repels and replaces the spirit of heaviness, releases the power and the anointing that destroys yokes and moves burdens. Praise will birth victory in the face of warfare. Praise stops the advancement of wickedness and drives out the temptations to sin (Ps. 7:14–17).
Offer your prayers of praise to God for all seasons. Bless the Lord at all times; let His praises be continually in your mouth! During this time of turmoil and unrest let us stand shoulder to shoulder in orderly array against the forces of darkness, standing in the gap with praise!
I encourage you to reaffirm your commitment to pray and never turn coward, faint, lose heart, or give up. United in prayer we are making a difference—praying prayers that avail much for all nations.
Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me. —Ezekiel 3:17
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. —1 Timothy 2:1
TODAY'S PRAYER:
Father, I commit to pray and not give up, standing in the gap before You for my family members and for others who have not yet called upon Your name, asking You to draw them with cords of love. It is Your will that all men should be saved. With the Holy Spirit as my helper, I will blow a trumpet in Zion (our churches) and sound the alarm, warning all who live in the land that the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand. Amen.
