Spiritual Sabbath Food- " Your Cross for a Soul " Matthew 16:24-26 11/06/09

" THEN SAID JESUS UNTO HIS DISCIPLES. IF ANY MAN WILL COME AFTER ME, LET HIM DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE UP HIS CROSS AND FOLLOW ME. FOR WHOSOEVER WILL SAVE HIS LIFE WILL LOSE IT ; AND WHOSOEVER WILL LOSE HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE SHALL FIND IT.
FOR WHAT IS A MAN PROFITED, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL? OR WHAT SHALL A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS SOUL?"

Of all the things in this life that have impacted the will, spirit, passions and the emotion of man, the cross of Jesus is the greatest event in the history of the era's of this world for all times. To be able to view the cross is the most wonderful honor mankind will ever know.
Then if these things be so,,,, listen to our Adonai (Lord) as he tells those whom he teaches, guides and leads that they too have a cross to bare. Did he mean you?
What is this cross? We know it had nothing to do with self preservation because it was for all men that our wonderful councelor bore it. What is this cross? It had nothing to do with worldly gain, for instead of wearing a garment of suffering he would have bore the royal garments that he was raised to adorn. What is this cross? On it he bore all the transgressions, iniquities and sins of the whole wide world. Every tear, every pain, every affliction, every grief, all mourning, all suffering. All of this and so much, much more,,, just look around you today, he took it all upon himself in the symbol of the cross.
And now he says " Come after me with yours" Wait lets summarize,,,,, this cross you bare is not for selfish reasons, has nothing to do with you, this cross is honorable, this cross bare's the suffering for someone else, you must hurt for someone else, take pain for someone else, be afflicted for someone else, mourn for someone else. This is how we lose our lives but we gain a soul for his sake, his glory, his honor. Baring the greatest glory of every christian child of the Most High! There truly is so much more we can expound upon, lets ask ourselves a few questions today,,,,,,
How much is a soul worth? Could our Adonai (Lord) be asking us to give it all up following him for others? What if they reject us? Talk about us? Threathen to stone us? What if they use harsh words, mockings and criticisms? How much is the cross worth? How much is following the one that saved your soul worth?
Because of the importance of your cross we won't expound on these questions, we can't even try to persuade you, because as we bare our own cross you alone must decide to bare your own. Any example set could never-ever even come close to the original cross bearer, for the question he asks is between you and him,,,,,, Can you follow me and bare your cross for a soul?
