Colossians 3:20

Colossians 3:20 (NIV)

Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

This scripture refers to the Ten Commandments. When children honor their parents, this is a commandment with a promise of long life attached to it. I know that this isn’t a popular subject, because we want to be sensitive, but the Word of God is still right, no matter how anyone feels about it. The reason why we have the elderly living to 100 and beyond is because they learned at an early age how to serve the Lord and heed the Scriptures. The Bible says that we are promised seventy years, and eighty if we have the strength. So, young people, if you want to live that long and beyond, stop the madness, and develop a relationship with the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, and He will direct your paths.
