Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

As a Christian, we should never seek to “keep up with the Joneses”, but thank God for humble beginnings. I’m not saying that it’s bad to have money, but keep it in its proper perspective. We don’t need the mansion with the four car garage, the Olympic sized swimming pool, the basketball court in the house, and maids and butlers waiting on us hand and foot. We need an intimate and personal relationship with our Creator, who loves us.
