James 5:14-16

James 5:14-16 (NIV)

Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

It's good to know that God has prayer warriors on standby, ready to pray for us whenever we aren't feeling well. No matter what the infirmity is, the prayer of the righteous is effective, and will reach the heart of God. What's interesting is that sickness can also be tied in with unforgiveness, so not only do we need to confess our own sin, but forgive others for trespassing against us as well, so we can be healed.
