Matthew 1:21 (NIV)

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

The fact that the Lord approached Mary to be used as an instrument, because she was a virgin, has been disputed by unbelievers and scientists for over 2,000 years. They can’t wrap their intellect around the fact that God can use anybody at any time to carry out His plans. He used Rahab, who was a prostitute, and she was in the lineage of the same family. It was prophesied in the Old Testament, and it came to pass in the New Testament. Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us, continues to save His people, namely us, from our sins, even as we speak. Thank You, Lord, for Your sacrifice for us.
