New Year, New You, New Season – Part 1

Good Morning, Happy New Year and praise the Lord everybody!  Look what the Lord has done!  He has brought us safely from 2018 into 2019, and we bless His name for that.  I hope that everyone had wonderful Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, and it’s time for a new series that I’m introducing today called New Year, new you, new season.  Please turn with me to Exodus chapter 1.

Exodus 1

Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:  Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Rameses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor: And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigor. And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, when ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.  But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Jacob’s children, which made up the twelve tribes of Israel, and that whole generation died off.  During that time, a new king came to power over the land of Egypt, who never heard of Joseph, who was second in command after gaining the favor of God and the previous Pharaoh.  We all know the story.

Now Israel became a great nation, due to the multitudes of babies being born, and their number was larger than all of Egypt.  This was a threat to Pharaoh, because he thought that they would plot and scheme in order to overthrow the government, and make Egypt subject to Israel.  Kind of sounds like present day, huh?

Anyway, he got with his officials, and decided to put Israel into slavery, and made an edict to kill all of the male babies being born, but spare the females.  Now let me invite you to look at this with your spiritual eyes, and he that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to us today.

You see, the enemy did his best to try to destroy you through circumstances, bad health, broken relationships and death in 2018.  If you’re watching or listening to me, you can praise God, because Satan failed.  Let me explain something to you; this is the year that we will be going to higher heights and deeper depths in the Lord.

Families will be under attack, because the devil wants to take out the men any way he can.  Naturally as well as spiritually, males are the seed carrier.  Now watch this, because this is important.  If you destroy a man by castrating him, or messing with his mind to think that he was really meant to be a female (oh, I know I’m not going to get any amen’s on that one, but it’s the truth anyhow), or if the divine order of things in the house is threatened due to lack of employment, illness or death, it shifts the natural balance of power.  Don’t get it twisted, but Adam came first, then Eve.

While I’m on this street, let me say this; men and women who were raised without fathers in the home, honor your mother, but know that no matter how you feel about it, God created men to be the seed carriers, in order for things to be planted.  I know that medicine and technology has come a long way, but you still can’t have a baby without the x and y chromosomes.

What are you saying, Sherri, I can hear you saying?  Here’s the deal.  Plants, crops and flowers can’t grow without the seeds being buried in the ground, cultivated and nurtured through the elements.  Babies can’t be conceived without a sexual act between a man and a woman, or at least getting some sperm from the man to impregnate the egg from a woman.  You can try to eliminate the male species from the equation, but all you will end up with is a mess.

There are plenty of men and women within the body of Christ within the fivefold ministry.  God has placed a special call within those individuals to birth ministry.  Now let me give a disclaimer right here, because I don’t want anyone to be offended, but here goes.  No matter how you look at it, there is only so much that a woman can say to a man with regards to the word of the Lord.  Not that they can’t be ministered to by women, but there are issues that only men experience and deal with that only another man can relate to and know exactly how to call on Jesus collectively as men of God.

The same goes with men.  They don’t completely understand women’s issues the way that another woman can, because of experience.  This is why men and women’s ministry needs to remain separate, with the exception of married couples and singles, to a certain extent.  However, the enemy wants to cherry pick and cause confusion within the body of Christ, as well as the world, and create gray areas in scripture where there is none.

I know that the world loves to be independent.  Society wants to impress upon young ladies that they don’t need a man with the exception of casual hook ups, and that men don’t need a woman, as long as they can be entertained within the confines of a strip club that provides the fantasy.  The devil is a liar and a deceiver.  Our young people are being conditioned for war between the sexes, because the guys are being told that all girls are thirsty and only looking for a rich man with all the trimmings to take care of their lifestyle.  The girls are being told that all men are dogs, and if they don’t hit the gym, the club and the hair salon on the regular, nobody will look at them.

Marriage is looked down upon, because they want to try before they buy.  In the black community, and I’m sorry, but I have to go there, they are putting our male children in jail at staggering rates, for the smallest offenses.  Whoever heard of a kindergartener being arrested for holding their classmates hand or kissing them on the cheek?  Lord, help this world that we live in!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is all by design, because God has a plan and purpose for our lives in 2019, and the enemy wants to snuff us out before it can come to fruition.  This time of year, it’s very popular for churches to go on fasts of all types, to ask the Lord to help us get things right on the front end.  While I agree, I also challenge this type of thinking, because the word of God says to pray without ceasing, and some of the attacks that we in the body of Christ come against can only be removed, diverted and destroyed through fasting and prayer.

I pray that you would search the scriptures to see the reasoning and purpose to why we should on occasion turn our plates down and make sacrifices that we normally wouldn’t do in order to watch God move on our behalf.  It’s not always for something in our lives, either.  It can be to move strongholds in our loved ones lives.

I also intercede for those who feel that they have been beaten down so much by the devil that they don’t know what their plan and purpose given by the Lord is.  In the name of Jesus, we come against confusion, depression and disillusionment, and decree that clarity, joy and concise direction will be given by God Himself in the days to come, Amen.  May the Lord bless you, and we’ll see you tomorrow, God willing.
