Today's Scripture
“Provide for those who grieve…a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor” (Isaiah 61:3 NIV).
Do you need a new garment today? I’m not talking about a physical garment. I’m talking about what’s covering your mind and emotions. Are you clothed with despair and disappointment? Are you wearing “heaviness”? If you’ve gone through a hurtful…

Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old deacon who always prayed,
'Lord, prop us up on our leanin' side.'
After hearing him pray that prayer many times,
someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently.
He answered, 'Well sir, you see, it's like this... I got an old barn out back.
It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather;
it's gone through a lot… Continue

READ IT TO THE END. The Pastor and his son A good reminder of God's Love.
Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and
his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts.
This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to
go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as
pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes…

What if God couldn't take the
time to bless us today because we
couldn't take the time to thank Him
yesterday?
What if God decided to stop
leading ustomorrow because we
didn't follow Him today?
What if we never saw another
flower bloom because we
grumbled when God sent the rain?
What if God didn't walk with us today
because we failed to recognize it as His
day?
What if, God took away the… Continue

Jesus Is Always With Us
"Jesus is our Lord and Savior. He is our healer, our deliverer, our coming King, our advocate, our high priest, our intercessor, our provider, our protector, our friend, and He will never leave us nor forsake us." I say that everyday, so whenever I get into a situation, I know Jesus is with me. He will never leave me, nor forsake me. I can't see Him, because He is in the spirit world. The spirit world is more real than this physical world, because the spirit…

A Shadow Has No Substance
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
The shadow of death is taken from the shadow representing darkness and gloom; it is figurative of a severe test or trial. However, my definition of a shadow is this: a shadow has no substance.
Once you are over the fear, you can walk through a shadow. The only thing that produces a…

Psalm 15
1Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

Today is a sad day for me.I miss my husband so much.Sometimes I feel that I'am alone.I know in my heart that Jesus
is around me and giving me strength to endure. The human side of me feels pain and it's this that makes me feel sad
and lonely.
I reflect on our life together and I know in my heart that God had a hand in our meeting and being together for 27 years
Even when I became so ill that the doctors gave up on me.He stood by my side through it all.He was a very special…

I find it ironic that people thinK oF miracles as something big or spectacular.Miracles happen everyday in our lives.
We forget that when we rise each morning it's a miracle by God's grace to give us another day to experience His Goodness.
We have opportunities in life that we take for granted. As a nurse I saw all types of pain and suffering.Tragedy in the young.Devestation when a child died.We think that we are envincable yet we are…

A Lifelong Journey
Once a solid spiritual foundation has been set in place, we are able to grow into the new life God has promised us. The Bible calls this “maturing in Christ.” As I can readily attest, it is a lifelong process.
God’s intent is that as new believers, we become different people. We are “under construction.” We’re being transformed from the inside out. The chief architect of these changes is God himself. As a loving father, he comes alongside to personally…

Here are the key elements by which we become reconciled to the Father. Each is vitally important. Any, if absent, could keep our new relationship from being complete
Our condition: First, we must understand that we are separated from God. The chasm dividing us is both wide and deep. We inherited a fatal defect at birth. As a result, we have lived our lives independently from him. The Bible emphasizes this stark reality: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”…

Mark 15:33-39 (NRSV)
When it was noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. At three o'clock Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?" which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" When some of the bystanders heard it, they said, "Listen, he is calling for Elijah." And someone ran, filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a stick, and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him…
