Proverbs 20:11-12 (KJV): 11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. 12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

Verse 11 - Children, like adults, are known by their actions; whether good or bad. Outward deeds reveal inward sin and need to be taken seriously. When certain types of words or actions are continually repeated, they establish a child's character. We all have known people who are habitually tardy or lie; they have bad reputations. Because the Lord keeps His promises you can rest in His righteous word. The word of a man or woman can be uncertain, but Christ brings you calm with His certainty. Since His character is consistent, He is dependable. Therefore, study diligently the pages of Scripture and harvest the fresh and delicious produce of the Lord’s promises. His truths are a treasure you can count on during down times and guard you in up times.
