EXPOSING JEZEBEL - part 2

THE BATTLE WITH JEZEBEL HAS EXPANDED

 

  Since the time of the early apostles, and especially since the dawn of the electronic age, the scale of battle has greatly grown larger.  It is very hard for us in our generation to discern the magnitude of the warfare that hits the church and the world in general.  The access the devil has to souls in our world has increased through mass media and literature.  John wrote of this period of time in Revelation 12:15,

 

"AND THE SERPENT POURED WATER LIKE A RIVER OUT OF HIS MOUTH AFTER THE WOMAN, SO THAT HE MIGHT CAUSE HER (THE CHURCH) TO BE SWEPT AWAY WITH THE FLOOD."

 

Water,  in this content, symbolizes "words."  In our world there exists a flood of words and visual images coming out of the mouth of Satan.  Our society, through technological advances, has made sins of the mind and heart more accessible.  More that ever before, the carnal mind, with its openness to this satanic flood of filth and rebellion, is being structured into a powerful stronghold for the devil.

 

In our information-filled, entertainment-oriented world, even minor demons can exercise major influences simply by possessing the script writers and producers of movies and television.  Satan, has already been "The prince of the power of the air" (Eph. 2:2). But we should realize that the "power of the air"  is not merely the wind;  we see that in our world this power uniquely includes the electronic airwaves which carry radio and television signals.

 

We must discern exactly where the satanic inroads are in our own lives and cut them off.  We cannot worship God on any given day and then tolerate Jezebel through immoral entertainment in a movie.  It is with this in mind that, in regard to warring against Jezebel, the eternal Word specifically described Himself as "He who search the minds and hearts" (Rev. 2:23), for it is in the inner sanctuary of our private soul-life where Jezebel begins.  It is here, within us, where tolerance must end.

Jezebel's spirit flows unhindered throughout the entertainment industries.  This spirit flaunts itself in the world of fashion:  it holds degrees in the philosophical departments of our schools and colleges.  Where can you go in our society that the influence of the Jezebel spirit is not felt?  She is the destroyer of politician and preacher alike.  She is the cruel motivator behind abortion.  It is Jezebel who engenders dissatisfaction between spouses.  This is where I first, encountered a face to face relationship with Jezebel.  I was saved most all my life but on my way to hell and did not even know it.  Later on as I became Spirit-filled did I then recognize her tactics and I believe also now the reason God has chosen me to bring this seducing spirit to the forefront in many lives and expose her treachery.  I had two failed marriages because of Jezebel.  I have always had very strong convictions in my life as far and being honest and true to the ones I love.  Since I had a very strong will in this area, Jezebel went after the weaker one, that being my first husband.  She led him into drugs and fornication to destroy our marriage.  I was very submissive then as I was young and this partner was my first love and also the dad of my only child.  Jezebel can not exist without an Ahab spirit and this time that would have been me.  I loved him so much and was willing to do anything to pull our marriage together.  I took him back three times and every time he again cheated on me, even after saying he was sorry each time.  We can not on our own fight this spirit.  We NEED to be Spirit-filled to have the discernment and power to fight!  My next marriage many years later, there was a turn this time,  my new husband came into the marriage with a Ahab spirit.  he was very docile and would never take charge of anything.  It was like I was married but still had all the responsibility I had before I was married.  Anything was ok with him, he was very laid back and left everything up to me. This action rose up the Jezebel spirit in me!  She took control of our marriage and six years later, I was once again looking at divorce.  There MUST be a structure to any marriage, with the man being the head.  This is Gods plan.  The women is to be under the husband.  Not to be less than, she is an equal, but he must be the head of the family and the final word on situations as well as the one who holds the order in the family.  When this order gets out of wack and the woman becomes the leader of the home then Jezebel has the RIGHT to move in and take control and she does.  She will lead a family to ruin -  She will pit husband and wife against each other in any way she can -  She will target the weak spots in a person and use them to their destruction.  She will even lead a family to bankruptcy.
