Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Learn to receive correction from God's Spirit
Do not rebuke a scoffer, lest he hate thee corrects the wise, and love you. A wise man, and be wiser; teach a righteous man and increase in learning. - Proverbs 9:8,9
There's something you can do to accelerate your spiritual growth than anything else, learn to receive correction from the Spirit of God and other believers.
Very few believers who can receive it. When the pastor talks about something they already know or talk about some aspect of their lives that have already committed to the Lord, believe he is a great person. They like him because he makes them feel good. But when the pastor starts talking about something they are not complying, then get offended.
God says that is nonsense. In Proverbs 1:7 He said that only fools reject or despise correction.
So do not be like them. When the pastor or anyone else in the Body of Christ has a word of correction for you, receive it with gratitude. Appreciate those who share the wisdom of God with you. When someone asks you do you are wrong on something, instead of reacting to that person, examine and say, "Is that true? Is that in accordance with the Word? Do I need to make a change? "If the answer to these questions is yes, then make the changes you need to do to straighten out his life.
I know that is not easy. None likes to be corrected. But still, if you decide you will receive the fix and are willing to learn, you can go ahead and grow faster in spiritual things.
Someone said: "If you believe that it is now, not really going anywhere." Remember that next time someone corrected. Love that person and thank them to accelerate their spiritual progress. If you do, will always forward.
