Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Friday October 16, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 43 (King James Version)
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
COMMENTARY:
Here we see, David's endeavors to still his spirit, with hope and confidence in God. The quarrel God had with David for sin, he prays, Enter not into judgment with me, if Thou doest so I shall be condemned; but as to the quarrel his enemies had with him, he prays, Lord, judge me, and in thy providence appear on my behalf. If we cannot comfort ourselves in God, we may stay ourselves upon Him, and may have Spiritual supports, when we want Spiritual delights. He never cast off any that trusted in Him, whatever fears they may have had of their own state. We need desire no more to make us happy, than the good that flow from God's favor, and is included in His promise. Those whom God leads, He leads to His Holy hill; those, therefore, who pretend to be led by the Spirit, and yet turn their backs upon ordinance, deceive themselves. We are still to Pray for the Spirit of light and truth, who supplies the want of Christ's bodily presence, to guide us in the way to Heaven. Whatever we rejoice or triumph in, the Lord, Christ Jesus must be the joy of it. David applies to God as his never-failing hope. Let us Pray earnestly, that the Lord would send forth the truth of His Word, and the light of His Spirit, to guide us into the way of Holiness, peace, and Salvation. The desire of the Christian, like that of the prophet in distress, is to be saved from sin as well as sorrow; to be taught in the way of Righteousness by the light of Heavenly wisdom, shining in Christ Jesus, and to be led by this light and truth to the New Jerusalem.
PRAYER:
Most Merciful Lord and Beloved Savior Christ Jesus, we come before You this day in Prayer and praise, for all of Your wondrous works. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, That You saw fit to wake us up this morning and started us on our way, Thank You Lord, that no harm or danger came near our doors, Thank You Lord that we as Your children are not ashamed of the Gospel, and that we stand ready to do Your will. Beloved Christ, this past week, you gave us many Blessings that we didn't deserve. we praise and Thank You for Your kindness and love, You have shown us. Father we know that You will be with us in the future as you have been in the past. O Lord my God, Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty. we will sing praise to You as long as we live. May our meditation of Your wonderful works of wisdom and love make us a better person, more obedient children, and a more responsible managers of Your gifts. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that every voice that speaks out against us shall be bought to great shame. Thank You Lord, That You, Precious Lord our God that You demonstrated Your own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, You, Christ Jesus, died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by Your blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through You. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of You our Lord Christ Jesus, His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life, and that greater is He that is in us, then he that is in this world. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord Christ Jesus, as You ready Your children to bring Your Word this week in all Your Churches around the world, we Pray that it is known by us Your preachers, lay persons, etc. that You will never leave or forsake us, and that You have already sent the Blessed Holy Spirit ahead of us, opening ears, giving sight to the Spiritually blind, so that they can see the wondrous works of You our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus's, mighty hands. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, that not one Word spoken in Your behalf, not one Prayer unto You, note sang, will come back void. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. That we do all things to Your glory. Thank You. Our Heavenly Father, in all our Prayers, help us commit our grief's and worries into Your keeping. Thank You, that You have already Supplied the things we need, and Beloved Lord, please accept our humble praise for all Your benefits and Blessings, especially for the gift of eternal life. In You Dear Christ Jesus, we live and move and have our being. we Thank You for the life You have poured into us, for the health and energy we enjoy, and for the talents that enrich us. To You we dedicate ourselves and all we have. May everything we do or say bring You glory. Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You for giving us the privilege to serve in Your congregations as leaders. In Your Grace and goodness you allow us who were once sinners, but who are now saved by Your Grace, to participate in Your work of saving souls from death. By the power of Your Holy Word You have brought us to Faith and given us our various gifts. Thank You Heavenly Father, Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord, Bless us now as we put our gifts to work for Your congregations. May we serve humbly and not as overlords. May we serve faithfully, seeing that the time is short. May we serve in love because You loved us first and gave up Your life for us. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You Father. O Savior, Thank You that You have granted us wisdom as we seek to carry out Your Great Commission. we do not always know the best course of action. But Thank You that, Your grace through the Blessed Holy Spirit, makes our plans in accord with Your will. Thank You Lord, that You help us to know and trust Your will, and that You will Bless us in the way and time that You see fit, and that we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end, and that Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed. Make us know Your ways, O LORD; teach us Your paths. Lead us in Your truth and teach us, for You are the God of our Salvation; for You we wait all the day, You give strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might You increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary, Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus Thank You. As we Your children go out this Sunday Lord, in Your Holy name, we Thank You, that the Holy Spirit has reminded us that; For it is God who is at work in us, both to will and to work for His good pleasure, Whatever we do, we are to do our work heartily, as for the Lord, To the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved, Therefore also we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him, Also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge, He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power, Amazement came upon them all, and they began talking with one another saying, 'What is this message? For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits and they come out. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You that we have power over all evil spirits, and we are not afraid of any man. Thank You. For You promised us that; Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no longer, The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways, For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD, If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Thank You Lord that we are ready and able to do Your will for You told us that we could do all things through Christ who strengthens us and; Prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.""Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight, Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Send Us, Precious Lord, we will go.
