Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Monday November 2, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 54 (King James Version)
Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth. I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good. For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
COMMENTARY:
God is faithful, though men are not to be trusted, and it is well for us it is so. David has no other plea to depend upon than God's name, no other power to depend upon than God's strength, and these he makes his refuge and confidence. This would be the effectual answer to his prayers. Looking unto David, betrayed by the men of Judah, and to Jesus, betrayed by one of his apostles, what can we expect from any who have not set God before them, save ingratitude, treachery, malice, and cruelty? What bonds of nature, or friendship, or gratitude, or covenant, will hold those that have broken through the fear of God? Selah; Mark this. Let us set God before us at all times; for if we do not, we are in danger of despair. Behold, God is mine Helper. If we are for Him, He is for us; and if He is for us, we need not fear. Every creature is that to us, and no more, which God makes it to be. The Lord will in due time save His people, and in the mean time He sustains them, and bears them up, so that the Holy Spirit,shall not fail. There is truth in God's threatenings, as well as in His promises; sinners that repent not, will find it so to their cost. David's present deliverance was an earnest of further deliverance. He speaks of the completion of his deliverance as a thing done, though he had as yet many troubles before him; because, having God's promise for it, he was as sure of it as if it was done already. The Lord would deliver him out of all his troubles. May he help us to bear our cross without repining, and at length bring us to share his victories and glory, in our God, The Lord Christ Jesus.
PRAYER:
Most Precious God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. we come into Your Holy presence this morning in Prayer and praise. Thanking You for all that You have done for us, that You have kept watch over us, and saw that no harm or danger came near our door. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Father, we know that through some word or deed, we have sinned, and we ask Your forgiveness, for You told us that; If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, that You have heard our confession and forgiven us our sins. Thanks Be Unto God, Who Has Given Us The Victory, Through Christ Jesus Our Lord. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion; who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Bless the LORD, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word! Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will. "Bless the LORD, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul! PRAISE the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forever. From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised. The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, the only name by which any man can be saved. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Loving God, our Lord Christ Jesus, we know that You are concerned about everyone of us Your children, we ask You to ease the burdens of those who cry in suffering, want, or sorrow, care for the man and woman who are trying to find employment, who are sick and can not afford health care, who are losing their homes, and everything they own. Lord comfort those who are troubled. Restore the erring. Guard the elderly, mend the marriages that are broken, Lord keep watch over all of the children. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Move sinners to repent and open their hearts to your forgiveness. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Father we want to give You all the Glory today, for all that You have done in lives, of Your children, who call on You as Lord. Thank You, that greater is He that is in us, then he that is in this world, Thank You That, no weapon formed against us has prospered, Thank You Lord, that You have placed our feet upon a solid rock, Thank You Lord that Your Holy Word has told us; For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning, The righteous cry, and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles, He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary, Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand, Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no longer, The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways, For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you, In famine He will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thank You Savior, Thank You our Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
