Our Prayer For Monday November 16, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 64 (King James Version)
Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
COMMENTARY:
Here we find David's Prayer for deliverance. The psalmist earnestly begs of God to preserve him from disquieting fear. The tongue is a little member, but it boasts great things. The upright man is the mark at which the wicked aim, they cannot speak peaceably either of him or to him. There is no guard against a false tongue. It is bad to do wrong, but worse to encourage ourselves and one another in it. It is a sign that the heart is hardened to the greatest degree, when it is thus fully set to do evil. A practical disbelief of God's knowledge of all things, is at the bottom of every wickedness. The benefit of a good cause and a good conscience, appears most when nothing can help a man against his enemies, save God alone, who is always a present help. The destruction of the wicked, encouragement to the righteous. When God brings upon men the mischiefs they have desired on others, it is weight enough to sink a man to the lowest hell. Those who love cursing, it shall come upon them. Those who behold this shall understand, and observe God's hand in all; unless we do so, we are not likely to profit by the dispensations of Providence. The righteous shall be glad in the Lord; not glad of the misery and ruin of their fellow-creatures, but glad that God is glorified, and his word fulfilled, and the cause of injured innocence pleaded effectually. They rejoice not in men, nor in themselves, nor in any creature, or creature enjoyments, nor in their wisdom, strength, riches, or righteousness; but in Christ, in whom all the seed of Israel are justified and glory, and in what he is to them, and has done for them. So let us stand assured that if God, be for us no man can stand against us. For our Lord has promised us that; For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them, The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe, But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you, But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one, Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?, The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever, The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?
PRAYER:
O' Holy Blessed Father, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. we come before You this morning in Prayer and Thanksgiving. Bless the LORD, you His angels, mighty in strength, who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word! Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will, Bless the LORD, all you works of His, in all places of His dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul! PRAISE the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forever, From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised. The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. Thank You Father, that You allowed no harm or danger to come any where near our door. Thank You Father, that Your are the one and only true God. The King Of kings. The Lord of lords. Our Bright and Morning Sun. Thank You Lord God, that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that every voice that speaks out against us shall be bought to great shame. Lord if any of us have sinned, we are sorry, and confess all of our sins before you. we Thank You for the blood that You shad, for our sins, on the cross. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our Salvation. Thank You Lord, that we know that greater is You that is in us, then he that is in the world. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, that in You we have the victory over sin and death, and that, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come, and to us to live is Christ and to die is gain. Blessed Lord and Savior Father God, we ask that You touch the lives of all of us Your children today, with Your Blessings, and that all come into awareness of You as King of kings, and Lord of lords. Precious Lord give unto everyone of us a heart to serve only You, not caring what any man thinks of us or say about us, and that we keep our eyes on the hills with which comes our help, knowing that our help comes only from You. Father we ask that You Bless our children, the sick, the men and women at war, the leaders around the world, that make decisions concerning their citizens lives, those without employment, homes, and marriages that need mending, make us obedient to You Holy Word, putting aside all falsehood, slander and lies, and treating one another with love and kindness, respect. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You that we know You have already answered our Prayer, because You have told us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by Prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and that if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you, and that we must encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble, say to those with anxious heart, 'Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.' Then the eyes of the blind will be opened And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah, and the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus. and that whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things, and we know and believe that; Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins, Just as it is written, "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed", As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Thank You that, who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, "For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered." but in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thank You Beloved Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. O' Bless that Wonderful name of Christ Jesus. The only name by which any of us can be saved. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Father Thank You that we have no fear of any man, for we know that; The LORD helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him, Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no longer, The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways, For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you, To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, So that we confidently say, 'THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?. we love You Precious Holy God. Thank You Father, our Savior Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives, Thank You.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
