Our Prayer For Thursday November 19, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 67 (King James Version)
God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
COMMENTARY:
Here we find the psalmist beseeching our God for His Mercy and Blessings. Is it not wonderful and marvelous, and a Holy Blessing in itself that Our God, because of His love for us, took on flesh, came to earth, and while we were yet sinners died for us, because He loves us? Surly our Lord shall indeed judge all people righteously, and govern the nations upon the earth, because He has told us; Judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment, For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad, The sins of some men are quite evident, going before them to judgment; for others, their sins follow after. And we can be assured that His Mercy will carry us thru, for our God promised us that; "In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, and He lifted them and carried them all the days of old, For He says to Moses, 'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion, God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us. So let us praise our God, for His Goodness and Mercy, all the days of our lives. For Surly He has done great Things, and we are truly Blessed that He loves and cares for us, and we can be sure that, His Mercy endures forever, So let everything that has breath praise our Lord God.
PRAYER:
Most Holy and Precious Lord God, our Father in Heaven, we come into You presence this day, Thank You, and giving You praise. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, that You allowed us to see another day, to praise Your Holy name. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. O Lord, Jesus Christ, Redeemer and Savior, forgive us our sins, we Pray that You count not our transgressions, but, rather our tears of repentance. we know that Your shaded blood there on that old rugged cross was payment in full for our sins, but we feel we must tell You how sorry we are for any transgressions we have made. Father we long to be true to do Your Will, and Thank You that You love us with a love that passes all understanding. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Blessed are you, Lord God, Blessed are You for ever. Holy is Your name, Great is Your Mercy for Your people, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we praise You and give You glory, we Bless You for calling us to be Your Holy people. Precious Lord there is no other God, like You. You are the one and only True God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Let us give You glory Father Through the Son, In the Holy Spirit, For You our God has made us Your people, Your Church, And calls us to sing Your praises. we will extol You, my God, O King, and we will Bless Your name forever and ever. Every day we will Bless You, and we will praise Your name forever and ever, great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable, one generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts, on the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wonderful works, we will meditate. Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts, and I will tell of Your greatness, they shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness and will shout joyfully of Your righteousness. O' Bless That Wonderful Name Of Christ Jesus, the only name by which any man can be saved. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Blessed Lord and Savior, we ask You Blessing on all of You youth, the children of the world, on our men and women in harms way fighting wars, those that are sick, looking for employment, trying to save their homes and business, the marriages that need mending, and lives that have been broken, those who are in prisons, and suffer from addictions. Thank You Lord that You have already put in place, everything that is needed to get them the help that they need and if they will only seek, they shall find, You and the answer to their problems. Precious Lord Christ Jesus, we ask that You Bless those that mean us harm. Touch them Precious Lord, and create in them a clean heart. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Father God, we love You and know that You would have none of us to be afraid of any man, for You have told us; So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word, Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand, But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed, Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal, Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised, For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus, Thank You Lord that You have, build a hedge around us and protect us from satan. And You have instructed us to; Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. In addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Thank You Lord, Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary, Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the Lord. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. we shall be obedient to Your Holy Word, not caring what any man say or do to us, for You are our God, Lord of our lives.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
