Our Prayer For Thursday December 3, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 75 (King James Version)
Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
COMMENTARY:
The psalmist declares his resolution of executing judgment. We often Pray for Mercy, when in pursuit of it; and shall we only once or twice give thanks, when we obtain it? God shows that he is nigh to us in what we call upon him for. Public trusts are to be managed uprightly. This may well be applied to Christ and His government. Man's sin threatened to destroy the whole creation; but Christ saved the world from utter ruin. He who is made of God to us wisdom, bids us be wise. To the proud, daring sinners he says, Boast not of your power, persist not in contempt. All the present hopes and future happiness of the human race spring from the Son of God. No second causes will raise men to preferment without the First Cause. It comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. He mentions not the north; the same word that signifies the north, signifies the secret place; and from the secret of God's counsel it does come. From God alone all must receive their doom. There are mixtures of mercy and grace in the cup of affliction, when it is put into the hands of God's people; mixtures of the curse, when it is put into the hands of the wicked. God's people have their share in common calamities, but the dregs of the cup are for the wicked. The exaltation of the Son of David will be the subject of the saints' everlasting praises. Then let sinners submit to the King of righteousness, and let believers rejoice in and obey Him.

Most Precious and Mighty God, our Father, we come once again before You this afternoon, in Prayer and praise. Thank You Father God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus for keeping us. Thank You Heavenly Father that You allowed no harm or danger to come any where near our door. Thank You Lord and Savior for all of Your Blessing that You have given unto us Your children. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Father God, we ask that You forgive us of any sin that we have committed, we Thank You that we have Your Blessed assurance that if we confess our sin, You would be faithful to forgive, and cleanse us from any unrighteousness. Thank You Father, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, for giving us the victory over sin and death. Lord Christ Jesus, we give You all the praise and glory, for truly we love You and You are worthy to be praised and in our heart we say unto You, The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness, To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. Precious Lord we ask You today to please Bless the men and women who are fighting in wars and are in harms way, Bless the leaders of all countries , Bless the man and woman who are seeking Your guidance in matters concerning their lives, and those of their love ones. Lord we ask that You give them direction and a heart to be obedient to Your Holy Word. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose, But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does, Whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight, The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever, Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter, How blessed are those who keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times! Thank You Precious Holy God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Holy Father God, we fear no man, because You have told us that; we shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord, Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken, Many people shall not overcome fear, but be overcome by it, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, We must not be double-minded once we set our course, since a double- minded man receives nothing. "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Thank You Lord, Thank You, for we know that true faith rests in the victory of Christ Jesus. Thank You Most Holy Lord and Savior Christ Jesus that we know that; Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Precious Lord, sometimes past sins and mistakes cause us to fear the future or fear exposure of our former deeds. we Thank You Lord, that the pain of our past erased so we can function without the hurt of those wounds. we Thank You that the Holy Spirit resides with in us, and that we are more then conquers in You. Thank You Lord that Your Holy Spirit has removed the hurt and fear from our lives. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus that we know that, we are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. we Thank You that Your perfect will for each and everyone of us will be done in our lives this day. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives. i stand in the gap for all of those in this place, and give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
