Our Prayer For Today Friday, September 25, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 28 (New King James Version)
To You I will cry, O Lord my Rock: Do not be silent to me, Lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications When I cry to You, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary. Do not take me away with the wicked and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors, but evil is in their hearts. Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve. Because they do not regard the works of the Lord, Nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them and not build them up. Blesssed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him. The Lord is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever.
COMMENTARY:
David is very earnest in Prayer. Observe his faith in Prayer; God is my rock, on whom I build my hope. Believers should not rest till they have received some token that their prayers are heard. He Prays that he may not be numbered with the wicked. Save me from being entangled in the snares they have laid for me. Save me from being infected with their sins, and from doing as they do. Lord, never leave me to use such arts of deceit and treachery for my safety, as they use for my ruin. Believers dread the way of sinners; the best are sensible of the danger they are in of being drawn aside: we should all pray earnestly to God for His grace to keep us. Those who are careful not to partake with sinners in their sins, have reason to hope that they shall not receive their plagues. He speaks of the just judgments of the Lord on the workers of iniquity, This is not the language of passion or revenge. It is a prophecy that there will certainly come a day, when God will punish every man who persists in his evil deeds. Sinners shall be reckoned with, not only for the mischief they have done, but for the mischief they designed, and did what they could to effect. Disregard, and disbelief in the Word and of the finished work of our Lord Christ Jesus, on the cross, is the cause of the sin of sinners, and becomes the cause of their ruin, and going to hell.
PRAYER:
Most Holy God, our Precious Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. We come into Your presence, this afternoon Lord, in Prayer and praise for You. Thank You Heavenly Father that You have given us this, another day, to Pray and praise Your Holy name, and to serve You. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord Jesus Christ, our one and only Savior, we are not worthy of Your love. We are not worthy of Your goodness. We are not worthy of Your Blessings. But forgive our sins, not because we deserve it but because You are a merciful Savior who paid for our sins with Your own blood. Shower Your Grace on us, and keep us safe. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You, O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord. O' Blessed Holy Spirit, we know that because Christ Jesus died for us, You will daily bring us to repentance, renew our faith, and forgive our sins, this we know for sure, and we are here now Praying that You will help us to live a faithful life before God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, and the world, so that everyone will know that we are a child of God. Thank You Lord, and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Heavenly Father, people throughout the world will go Church this Sunday, to hear Your Word. Bless the pastors who preach Your Truth. Use Your message that You have given unto us, to strengthen Faith in You and the finished work on the cross, where You out of love for us all died, heal the sick, bring hope to the hopeless. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord, help us to be ready at all times to make bold confession of our faith in You our Savior. Precious Lord, Thank You that You will guide all Christians so they love truth and take a stand in society, letting others know that there is a standard, set by you, that you command us to keep. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, that You will keep us faithful. O triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You have accomplished our salvation, creating us, redeeming us, and sanctifying us. Now we Thank You for keeping us in the fellowship of the Saints and Blessing Your Church everywhere. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. we Pray that You grant that your Word may be taught in all its clarity and purity. Open hearts to receive it, and raise up more men, women, and children who know their Savior and worship You, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Lord Christ Jesus, we Pray that you would especially Bless our Pastors as they proclaims the truth of Your Word. Give them wisdom and courage so that they do not fall to the temptation of following worldly wisdom, Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, that not one Word spoken, a note sang, a Prayer unto You shall come back void. All Glory To God, Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord, we Thank You that not one of Your children, that You have Called, sent, have to worry about anything, as they go about Your business this weekend or ever, because You have told us that; But he who listens to me shall live securely and shall be at ease from the dread of evil, He will not fear evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord, For you have made the Lord, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent, In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety, You will laugh at violence and famine, neither will you be afraid of wild beasts, Then you would trust, because there is hope; and you would look around and rest securely. You would lie down and none would disturb you, and many would entreat your favor. So Lord we Thank Your for Your Blessing as we go forth, knowing that You are with us, and will never leave or forsake any of us. Thank You Lord, Thank You. For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My loving kindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken," says the LORD who has compassion on you, When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth, He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep, God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it, The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance, If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness. Now behold, today I am going the way of all the earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God spoke concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled for you, not one of them has failed, May the beloved of the Lord dwell in security by Him, Who shields him all the day, and he dwells between His shoulders. Now unto Him, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Himself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives.
