Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Today Monday, June 22, 2009
VERSE:
My son, keep your father's commands and do not forsake your
mother's teaching. Proverbs 6:20
THOUGHT:
So often today, we discount the wisdom of those who have come
before us and who want to share with us the collective wisdom that
was handed down to them by their predecessors. Let's be especially
attentive over the next few weeks to those who are older and have
proven themselves faithful. At the same time, let's remind our
children and our grandchildren how important obedience is to God, including the obedience of children to their parents.
PRAYER:
Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior, We praise You. We Thank You for another week of love, Faith, comfort, and hope in You to keep us from, anything that would try and destroy the hope that we have in You as our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord. Help us to live in Christian unity and peace. Bless all those who come to You seeking Your love.
Dear heavenly Father, We ask Your forgiveness for anything that any of us, your children may have said, thought, or done that was not your will for us as Your children. Thank You Lord, Thank You. I Thank You Lord for all that spoke a word in Your behalf. Thank You Lord for wise counsel, that you have provided for us through Your Holy Word, and please Bless all of us Your children, who seek to do your will, we seek to be more obedient to your will. Thank You Lord, Thank You. For You have told us that, "then we will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God". For the You our LORD gives us wisdom; and from Your mouth come knowledge and understanding. Lord You stores up sound wisdom for the upright; and You are a shield to those who walk in integrity." And we know that You the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know You who is true; and we are in You who is true. For You are Christ Jesus, the one and only true God. Thank You Lord, Thank You.
Lord You have taught us through Your Holy word, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. "Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, to which indeed we were called in one body; and be thankful. And that you our God will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. For this reason you have told us, do not be worried about our life, as to what we will eat or what we will drink; nor for our body, as to what we will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet out heavenly Father feeds them. Are we not worth much more than they? And who of us by being worried can add a single hour to our life? And why are we worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. "But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe us? You of little faith! "Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing? "For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
So we are here today Lord, with this Prayer and Petition, on behalf of all of Your children, you already know what we all stand in need of Lord. And we know that you have already done Your will in our lives. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Bless that wonderful name of Jesus, All Glory To God.
