Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Today Friday, June 19, 2009
VERSE:
How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those
who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who
take refuge in you.- Psalm 31:19
THOUGHT:
Out of this psalm which begins in desperation, we find a
crescendo of faith. While things may seem bleak, God will not
abandon his children. Those who reverence God will not be
forgotten. Far from ignoring his children, God has stored up his
goodness which he will generously pour out on them to show that
they are his. Those who take refuge in him will be protected and
blessed. For those on this side of Jesus' resurrection, this
promise of blessing and vindication takes on added depth and
meaning as well as deeper assurance!
PRAYER:
O LORD, God of Abraham, Our Savior Jesus Christ., I praise You for your proven faithfulness through the centuries. I thank You for the great heritage of faith that shows us that we can trust You to remember us with Your grace, protect us by Your power, and Bless us with Your goodness. Please give us courage to hang on to our faith no matter the trials and temptations we face. Thank You Lord for all that you have done and all that you are going to do. Thank You that we know that greater is He that is in us the he that is in the world. Thank You Lord, that no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper, Thank You, that You will never leave or forsake us.
Dear Savior,Our Beloved Christ Jesus "The ability to speak and to sing is one of the great Blessings You have given to us. Let us use this Blessing to serve You and others. Guard our lips, so we don't misuse Your name, and keep us from saying bad things about other people. Help us rather to speak the truth in love. Help us to hold our tongue when we should keep silent. Let us not keep silent when we should speak. And grant that we may say those things that are appropriate and fitting in each situation.
Lord You know what all of us Your children stand in need of, and we proclaim this day by Faith, that Your will is already done in the lives of us Your children. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Glory To God, Thanks be unto God, who has given us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.
