Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Today, Monday, August 10, 2009
VERSE:
"I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD". Psalm 118:17 (King James Version)
Commentary:
The account the psalmist here gives of his troubles is very applicable to Christ: many hated him without a cause; the Lord himself chastened him sorely, bruised him, and put him to grief, that by His stripes we might be healed. God is the strength of His people, they have spiritual supports, though they want spiritual delights. Whether the believer traces back his comfort to the everlasting goodness and mercy of God, or whether he looks forward to the Blessing secured to him, he will find abundant cause for joy and praise, in Christ Jesus. Every answer to our Prayers is an evidence that the Lord is on our side; and then we need not fear what man can do unto us; we should conscientiously do our duty to all, and trust in Him alone to accept and Bless us. Let us seek to live to declare the works of God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, and to encourage others to serve Him and trust in Him. Such were the triumphs of the Son of David, in the assurance that at the good pleasure of our Lord, he would prosper in His hands. All Glory To God, Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Prayer:
Most Precious Lord, our God, Christ Jesus, Unto You, our Joy and Salvation, we come before You today, giving Thanks, Lord, Christ Jesus, for choosing us to be your own, for Baptizing us, for feeding our Faith with Your Word, and for giving us opportunities to serve and praise You each day. Thank You Lord for forgiving us of all of our sins, by Your death and the Blood that You shad on the Cross. Thank You Lord. Thank You that we are not ashamed of the Gospel, and that we love You. Let our hearts be filled with gratitude for our Blessings, both now and in eternity. O Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord. Thank You Lord God, for the many Blessings you shower upon us day after day. We are especially grateful for your Word and your saving love, Thank You Lord, Thank You. I thank you also for the many people you have put in my life. Thank You for Pastors, and Teachers of Your Word. Thank You for our Military men and women, and civil servants. Thank You for doctors and health care workers. Thank You especially for those who volunteer their time to help others. So many people have such busy lives that they don’t have time for anyone else. You have granted volunteers the grace to give their time and talents freely without any thought of reward. Smile upon all of these Your children, for their service Dear Lord. Grant them fulfillment in their work and joy in carrying it out. Move more people to give their time to useful endeavors. Give them the holy desire to serve out of love for Christ and not for selfish gain or glory. Thank You Lord, Thank You.
Christ Jesus, today we bring before you every man and woman who this day stand in need of Your Saving Grace. We ask You Precious to open the windows of Heaven and pour out a Blessing on all of us Your children, who stand in need. Lord give us the gift of Faith, to stand against the wails of satan, For You have told us, "The LORD helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him." "Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no longer." The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways." "For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you." "In famine He will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword." "'No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD." "The LORD is for me among those who help me; therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me." "To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear." "For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong." "For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD." "When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." "His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction" Thank You Lord, Thank You, O Bless That wonderful name of Christ Jesus, who truly delivers us out of all our troubles. Thank You Lord, Thank You. 'But I will deliver you on that day,' declares the LORD, and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. 'For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,' declares the LORD." "But the LORD your God you shall fear; and He will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies." "So he answered, 'Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." "Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught" Thank You Lord, "Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish. You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them, those who war with you will be as nothing and non-existent." Thank You Lord, Thank You.
Now unto Him, that loved us first, with a love beyond all understanding, and who is more then able to keep us, until the day of His coming, we give all the Praise and Glory.
We Pray in the Holy name of Christ Jesus, and proclaim that all these things are already done, in His Precious name.
