Our Prayer For Today Monday, September 21, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 24 (King James Version)
The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
COMMENTARY:
Now concerning the kingdom of Christ, and the subjects of that kingdom. We ourselves are not our own; our bodies, our souls, are not. Even those of the children of men are God's, who know Him not, nor own their relation to Him. A soul that knows and considers its own nature, and that it must live for ever, when it has viewed the earth and the fullness thereof, will sit down unsatisfied. It will think of ascending toward God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, and will ask, What shall I do, that I may abide in that happy, Holy place, where He makes His people Holy and happy? We make nothing of religion, if we do not make heart-work of it. We can only be cleansed from our sins, and renewed unto Holiness, by the blood of Christ Jesus, and the washing of the Holy Ghost. Thus we become His people; thus we receive Blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of our salvation. God's our Lord, Christ Jesus's peculiar people shall be made truly and for ever happy. Where God gives righteousness, He designs Salvation. Those that are made meet for Heaven, shall be brought safe to Heaven, and will find what they have been seeking.
PRAYER:
Precious Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, we come today before You, Beloved Savior, giving You in Prayer and Praise, and Thanks giving. Lord Thank You that You woke us up, Thank You Lord that You saw fit to keep all harm and danger away from our beings. Thank You Lord, that we know that You love us, and desire only what is best for us. Thank You Lord, that No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against us in judgment thou shalt condemn. This the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Lord, we Pray that You, pardon whatever we may have done to shame the name of You our most Gracious Savior. Search our hearts and minds, and if there be anything that is not of You, Lord Christ Jesus, please remove it, so that we will be pleasing in Your sight, and help us undo all offenses. we bow down before You in humility, trusting in Your Grace to forgive us. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. I know you created a clean heart in us, and have renewed a right Spirit. Help us to live rejoicing in Your forgiveness. Thank You Lord, for You said; So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man, For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly, The LORD said to Moses, I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name, You have granted me life and loving kindness; and Your care has preserved my spirit, For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield, LORD, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong; You hid Your face, I was dismayed, The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the LORD, the small together with the great, Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence, It is the Blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it, What the wicked fears will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord, we give You Thanks this day also, for every man and women, who spoke a Word in Your behalf this week-end. Thank You Lord that You went before them, guided them, kept them, and that not one Word, Prayed, or Preached, not a single note sang, came back void. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. All Glory To You Lord God, our Savior Christ Jesus. Father, Dear Father in Heaven, because you are kind, you let us start another week. Motivate us to start the week off right by putting You first in all of our plans, no matter how small or big for this week. Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You for going before us, making our paths straight in all that we do, that is to Your Glory. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Thank You Lord, that we will listen for that small quiet voice that is Yours, will hear a Word from You today, believe it, and live it according to Your will. Lord Christ Jesus, we Pray that You this day, Bless every man woman and child, that seek to do Your will, and even those who know not yet to call on You as their Savior. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord we know that You are aware of what each and every one of us, stand in need of. You know the secret desires of our hearts, Bless us according to Your will for us in our lives. Thank You that You have Blessed the sick, and that they remember what we have been taught; and He said, 'If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer, but He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord, You told us; O my God, in You I trust, do not let me be ashamed; do not let my enemies exult over me, I hate those who regard vain idols, but I trust in the LORD, As for me, I trust in You, O LORD, I say, 'You are my God, Our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy name, Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faith fulnessm, Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it, He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord. How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. Thank You Lord, that we trust in Your Holy Word, and give You all the Praise. Thank You Lord, Thank You.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Himself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives.
