Our Prayer For Today Tuesday, September 22, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 25 (King James Version)
Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD. Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
COMMENTARY:
We must have confidence in Prayer. In worshipping God,our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, we must lift up our souls to Him. It is certain that none who, by a believing attendance, wait on God, and, by a believing hope, wait for Him, shall be ashamed of it. The most advanced believer both needs and desires to be taught of Christ Jesus. If we sincerely desire to know our duty, with resolution to do it, we may be sure that God will direct us in it. The psalmist is earnest for the pardon of his sins. When Christ pardons sin, He is said to remember it no more, which denotes full remission. It is God's goodness, and not ours, His mercy, and not our merit, that must be our plea for the pardon of sin, and all the good we need. This plea we must rely upon, feeling our own unworthiness, and satisfied of the riches of God, our Lord and Savior's mercy and Grace. How boundless is that mercy which covers for ever the sins and follies of a youth spent without God and without hope! Blessed be the Lord Christ Jesus, the blood of the great Sacrifice can wash away every stain.
PRAYER:
Holy and Precious God, heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, we come into Your presence with Thanksgiving, and Prayer and praise for all that You have done. Thank You for another day, here in the land of the living. Thank You that You saw fit to wake us up, start us on our way. Thank You that no harm or danger came unto our door. Thank You Lord, and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Precious Lord, You show us Your goodness in so many ways and we don't deserve it. we ask you, however, not to desert us or forsake us because of our sins. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. As we look at our lives, we know that our record is spoiled by sin. Forgive us our failings. And we ask You to forgive the sins we have forgotten or failed to recognize. Forgive us each day and continue to Bless us for Your sake Christ Jesus, Thank You Lord, Thank You. Thank You Lord, that You will never leave or forsake us, Thank You that You told us that, if we confess our sins, that You would be faithful to forgive us, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Thanks be unto God, who has given us the victory over sin, and death through Christ Jesus, our Lord. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Father, we ask You to please Bless our families, our love ones, those that are unsaved, unemployed, those that are tired, alone, and feel unloved. Lord please touch their hearts and minds this day, let them know that You are there with them, heal up the broken hearted, and make the sick and lonely feel Your presence. Thank You Lord, Thank You. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Lord, Thank You that You have told us, through Your Word that; For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? "And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? "And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. "But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! "Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing? For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. So Lord we are not worried about anything, for we know that You are in complete control, and that You are working things out for our good. Thank You Lord, Thank You. For You have assure us that; Those who love Your law have great peace, and nothing causes them to stumble, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, 'My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust! In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety, When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet, The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord we give unto You all that we do and say this day. Please Bless our going out and our coming in. Thank You That no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that every voice that speaks out against us, shall be bought to great shame. Thank You that Greater is He that is in us, You, then he that is in this world, Thank You that we fear not what man can do to us. That You our Lord shall cause our enemies who rise up against us to be defeated before us; they will come out against us one way and will flee before us seven ways, The Lord is for us among those who help us; therefore we will look with satisfaction on those who hate us. To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong, For in the day of trouble He will conceal us in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide us; He will lift us up on a rock. And now our head will be lifted up above my enemies around us, and we will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; we will sing, yes, we will sing praises to our Lord. When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, we Thank You, for another day to serve You. And Pray Your Holy Blessings, on our Lives. we love You Lord Christ Jesus. Thank You, for loving us first, so much so that while we were yet sinners, You died for us. All Glory to God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord.
Now unto Him, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Himself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives.
