Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Today Wednesday, September 23, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 26 (King James Version)
Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord: That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men: In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes. But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the Lord.
COMMENTARY:
David, in this psalm, appeals to God touching his integrity, by the Spirit of prophecy, speaks of himself as a type of Christ, of whom what he here says of his spotless innocence was fully and eminently true, and of Christ only, and to Him we may apply it. We are complete in Him. The man that walks in his integrity, yet trusting wholly in the grace of God, is in a state of acceptance, according to the covenant of which Christ Jesus was the Mediator, in virtue of His spotless obedience even unto death. This man desires to have his inmost soul searched and proved by the Lord. He is aware of the deceitfulness of his own heart; he desires to detect and mortify every sin; and he longs to be satisfied of his being a true believer, and to practise the holy commands of God. Great care to avoid bad company, is both a good evidence of our integrity, and a good means to keep us in it. Hypocrites and dissemblers may be found attending on God's ordinances; but it is a good sign of sincerity, if we attend upon them, as the psalmist here tells us he did, in the exercise of repentance and conscientious obedience. He feels his ground firm under him; and, as he delights in blessing the Lord with his congregations on earth, he trusts that shortly he shall join the great assembly in heaven, in singing praises to God and to the Lamb for evermore.
PRAYER:
Most Precious Lord, Thank You almighty and powerful Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, for this another day. Thank You that we come before You once again in Prayer and Thanksgiving. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Lord we know that we don't always do that which You would have us to do, but we are sorry for all of the times that we fall short in Your sight. Thank You Lord, that You are a forgiving God, and that You said that if we were to confess our sins, that You would be faithful to forgive us. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, they only name by which any of us can be saved. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Holy Christ Jesus, You bore the crushing weight of our sins as You hung from Your cross, and even suffered the terrors of hell for us. By Your bruised body, Your precious blood, and Your bitter agony, have mercy on us, a sinner. we Praise You, Bless You, and adore You, because by Your Holy cross You Redeemed the world. Through this Redemption, we are Your children. Christ Jesus, as we live as Your children, be our guide and comforter. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord, some of us have problems that always seem to be multiplying, Lord Christ Jesus, we know that they are too complicated and difficult to handle alone. But You ask us for our troubles, and we give them all to You this day in Prayer. Christ Jesus, handle them out of Your endless supply of love and power and wisdom. Beloved Lord, Speak through our lips, work through our hands. Make us a Blessing to others. Thank You Lord, Thank You. Dearest Holy Spirit, anointer of our soul and mind, Father of Mercy and Grace, splash us with Your love, refresh us to do Your will. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord You know all that each of us stand in need of. Thank You Lord for all the Blessing that You are sending our way, right now. Thank You that the sick are healed, the unemployed are still hopeful, the tired can find rest. Lord Your Children, we need You now more then ever, with all that is going on in this world. we are so grateful that You have promised us that You would never leave or forsake us. Thank You Lord that we know that; But if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name, After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock, That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, But I will deliver you on that day,' declares the Lord, and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. 'For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,' declares the Lord, But the LORD your God you shall fear; and He will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies, Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the Lord will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught, Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish. You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them, those who war with you will be as nothing and non-existent, Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us, Thank You Lord, Thank You. O' What a Wonderful Christ Jesus we serve. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus Thank You.
Now unto Him, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Himself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives.
