Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Today Thursday, September 17, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 21 (King James Version)
The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever. His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him. For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them. Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
COMMENTARY:
Happy the people whose king makes God's strength his confidence, and God's salvation his joy; who is pleased with all the advancements of God kingdom, and trusts God to support him in all he does for the service of it. All our Blessings are Blessings of goodness, and are owing, not to any merit of ours, but only to God's goodness, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. But when God's Blessings come sooner, and prove richer than we imagine; when they are given before we Prayed for them, before we were ready for them, nay, when we feared the contrary; then it may be truly said that He prevented, or went before us, with them. Nothing indeed prevented, or went before Christ Jesus, but to mankind never was any favour more preventing than our redemption by Christ Jesus. Thou hast made Him to be a universal, everlasting Blessing to the world, in whom the families of the earth are, and shall be Blessed; and so thou hast made him exceeding glad with the countenance thou hast given to his undertaking, and to him in the prosecution of it. The Spirit of Prophecy rises from what related to the king, to that which is peculiar to Christ Jesus; none other is Blessed for ever, much less a Blessing for ever. (Ps 21:7-13)
PRAYER:
O' Most Precious and Holy Christ Jesus, we come before You this day, in Prayer and Praise, Thank You for all that You have done, and all that You are going to do for us, Your children. Thank You Lord, Thank You. O' Bless That Wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You for coming to this world to be our Savior. Thank You for leaving Your Heavenly home, taking the form of a servant, and humbling Yourself to be our substitute. Thank You for your perfect obedience, by which You set an example for us. Father, help us express our appreciation for all You have done for us by living every day for You. Help us please You by being true disciples in all we think and say and do. Thank You Lord, that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, Thank You that; My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, I can do all things through Him who strengthens me, In all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us, Let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God, If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you, In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full, All things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive, Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight, He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him, For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Thank You Lord, Thank You that every Word is True, and that You love us with a love that passes all understanding. Thank You that while we were all yet sinner, You loved us and died for us. Thank You Lord, Thank You. You know all that we Your children stand in need of Lord, and we know that You have already provided all that we need. Thank You Lord, for healing the sick and helpless, Thank You for feeding the hungry, Thank You for giving hope to the jobless, homeless, for those in prisons, for Your children fighting wars, the tired and weak, and all of us Your children. Thank You Lord, that The LORD is for me among those who help me; therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me, To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD,When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries. Thank You Lord, Thank You. we love You Lord, and give You all the Glory. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Himself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, Christ Jesus, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.
