VERSE:
Psalm 30 (King James Version)
I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication. What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
COMMENTARY:
The great things the Lord has done for us, both by His providence and by His Grace, bind us in gratitude to do all we can to advance His kingdom among men, though the most we can do is but little. God's saints in heaven sing to Him; why should not those on earth do the same? Not one of all God's perfections carries in it more terror to the wicked, or more comfort to the Godly, than His Holiness. It is a good sign that we are in some measure partakers of His Holiness, if we can heartily rejoice at the remembrance of it. Our happiness is bound up in the Divine favour; if we have that, we have enough, whatever else we want; but as long as God's anger continues, so long the saints' weeping continues. (Ps 30:6-12)
PRAYER:
Most Holy and Righteous God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. we come before You this morning in Prayer and Thank giving, for once again You have seen fit to wake us up. Thank You Lord for another day to praise You. Thank You Lord that You kept all harm and danger from our door. Thank You that You will not ever leave or forsake us. Thank You that Greater is He that is in us, then he that is in this world. Thank You Lord that, no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that every voice that speaks out against us shall be bought to great shame. Thank You Lord that You have kept all of our children, and love ones safe, and that they can be assured that You have put a hedge of protection around them, and their hearts, their minds, their homes, their jobs, their friends, and any other concern that they may have. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord we know that You have truly done great things, for if it had not been for Your Grace and Mercy none of us would be here to day. Thank You Lord Christ Jesus. There is so much that we have to be grateful for this day, so many ways in which You have shown us Your love for us, that we can not even find the words to express how we feel. You have kept everyone of Your promises to us. You told us that; For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed, Then I shall not be ashamed when I look upon all Your commandments, Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us, For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day, Just as it is written, "BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth, If anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name, May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, so that I will not be ashamed. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. That we know that we will never be put to shame, and that we will fight to the end the good fight of faith. All Glory To God, Thank You Lord.
So this day we proclaim with great confidence; Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no longer, The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways, For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you, In famine He will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword, No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD, If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD, Thank You Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Thank You.
Now unto Him, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Himself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's bodies and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives.
Amen.
