VERSE:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well. - Matthew 6:33
THOUGHT:
Seek! That is the focus word in this verse. This word is a
robust word, describing a passionate pursuit of something to make
it our own. The Kingdom, and the righteousness of those in this
Kingdom, are not our wish, our hope, our dream -- they are to be
our passion. We will pursue God's Kingdom at all costs. We will
pursue it with passion. This will be our consuming effort until we
make it our own, or better yet, find it our home! Thanks Be unto God, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, that we always put Christ Jesus first.
PRAYER:
Precious Lord Christ Jesus, Thank You that You awakened us with a renewed determination to do Your will. Thank You, that we will never allow for anything that is not of You to deter us from Your divine purpose for us in our lives. Thank You Lord that You will awaken us each morning, with a sense of passion for Your work and Your will for that day. Father, we want to be a passionate seeker; please make us restless for Your Kingdom as our home.
Dear God, heavenly Father, the fruit of the Spirit is patience. We know that Christian patience is a virtue we ought to have. But all too often we are quick to become frustrated and angry. Make us patient, ready to endure trials that come our way, knowing You will work things for our good. Make us patient, willing to continue, believing your promise that we can do great things for You. Make us patient, bearing with others in their weaknesses and sin, realizing that we too are sinful creatures. Make us, today, patient Christians. As your children, we have lots of reasons to be joyful. We rejoice because we have a loving heavenly Father and a gracious Savior. We rejoice because we have forgiveness and all the spiritual blessings we need for our souls. We rejoice because we have received from you all the physical blessings we need to live. Help us have true Christian joy and show it in our speech and in our actions. Now Precious as we go about this day, We Thank You in advance for supplying all of our needs, You know what is really going on in each and everyone of our lives. Thank You Lord that You sent us the Holy Spirit to guide us in all matters. Thank You Lord for The Holy Spirit, and all Blessings, that are ours in Christ Jesus. Thank You that You have already done that which You have promised, Thank You that these things that we proclaim, are already done. All Glory To God!
Thank You Lord, for all that You have done, and all that You are going to do, yet seen and unseen.
We Bless Your Holy Name,
And Give You All The Glory,
In Christ Jesus Name,
Amen.
