VERSE:
I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For
he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a
robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a
priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
THOUGHT:
This is God's promise to his people after their Messiah comes
with healing and power to bless them with the Lord's favor. In many ways, this is our promise as Christians. We do rejoice greatly
because God has delivered us from law, sin, and death through the
coming of our Savior and Lord. Because of Jesus' sacrifice, as
God's children we are clothed with Christ (Gal. 3:26-27) and given
garments of salvation and robes of his righteousness.
PRAYER:
Thank you, dear Father, for making us Righteous by Christ Jesus'
sacrifice. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for paying the price for our sins
to give us life. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for cleansing us from my
sin and empowering us to live for God. May we, Lord God, live in
such a way that those around us know that You have made us whole and Holy. Lord You have been so good to all of us Your children, and we give you all the praise and all the glory for all that you are doing and are going to do in our lives Thank You Lord Thank You. Lord, give us a new mind, Spirit of God: a mind less easily distracted by the concerns and pleasures of earthly life, a mind more firmly set on things above. "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand lose its skill." Holy Spirit, draw our thoughts to the New Jerusalem in heaven, where our true life is now hidden with Christ in God. Bless That wonderful name of Christ Jesus. Thank You Lord, Thank You.
In Christ Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.
