Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Our Prayer For Tuesday November 10, 2009
VERSE:
Psalm 60 (King James Version)
O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again. Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh. Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment. Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me. God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me. Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom? Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies? Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
COMMENTARY:
Here, David prays for the deliverance of Israel from their enemies. David owns God's displeasure to be the cause of all the hardships he had undergone. And when God is turning his hand in our favor, it is good to remember our former troubles. In God's displeasure their troubles began, therefore in his favor their prosperity must begin. Those breaches and divisions which the folly and corruption of man make, nothing but the wisdom and Grace of God can repair, by pouring out a Spirit of love and peace, by which only a kingdom is saved from ruin. The anger of God against sin, is the only cause of all misery, private or public, that has been, is, or shall be. In all these cases there is no remedy, but by returning to the Lord with repentance, faith, and prayer; beseeching him to return to us. Christ, the Son of David, is given for a banner to those that fear God; in him they are gathered together in one, and take courage. In his name and strength they wage war with the powers of darkness. He entreats God to carry on and complete their victories. If Christ be ours, all things, one way or another, shall be for our eternal good. The man who is a new creature in Christ, may rejoice in all the precious promises God has spoken in His Holiness. His present privileges, and the sanctifying influences of the Spirit, are sure earnests of Heavenly glory. David rejoices in conquering the neighbouring nations, which had been enemies to Israel. The Israel of God are through Christ more than conquerors. Though sometimes they think that the Lord has cast them off, yet he will bring them into the strong city at last. Faith in the promise will assure us that it is our Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom: But we are not yet made complete conquerors, and no true believer will abuse these truths to indulge sloth, or vain confidence. Hope in God is the best principle of true courage, for what need those fear who have God on their side? All our victories are from him, and while those who willingly submit to our anointed King shall share His glories, all His foes shall be put under His feet.
PRAYER:
Most Precious Holy Father, we come again before You this day, in Prayer and praise. Thank You most High God, that You saw fit to wake us up this morning and that not one of us are lost, that You have predestinated to be saved. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Father, we know that we may have sinned in some area of our lives, and we are sorry. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, that we know that if we confess our sins, that You will be faithful to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness, Thank You lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, the only name by which any man can be saved. Thank You Lord and Savior for forgiving us of our sins, Thank You that through Your death on the cross, the shading of Your blood that we can know for sure that You have paid the full price for our sins. Thank You Lord, Thank You, that we know that we must confess our sins, because You have told us; In order for sanctification to be accomplished we must respond to Your call to Holiness by separating ourselves from all evil, You taught us that we were not to continue in sin, because we know that Your Grace may abound. You forbid, us to do so, and we want You to know how sorry we are, should any of us have sinned. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Almighty, true and incomparable God, You are present in all things, yet in no way limited by them. You remain unaffected by place, untouched by time, unperturbed by years, and undeceived by words, and in no need of protection. You are beyond all corruption, above all change, immutable by nature. You live in unapproachable light and are invisible, yet You are known to all those who seek You with hope and love. You are the God of Israel, and of all who hope in Christ. You are The Light of the world, and our bright and morning star. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, our God, for being who You are. Holy Blessed Father, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, we ask that You send Your Blessed Holy Spirits into the hospitals, the prisons, the nursing homes, where ever there is a man, woman, or child that needs to hear from You. Lord touch them this day. Precious Lord, take our hands and lead us on, guide the minds and steps of all of us Your children in the way that Your would have us to walk. Lord Christ Jesus, there are so many of Your children out here that are going through hard time, no jobs, no health care, etc. Father please send the Blessed Holy Spirit to guide them. Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. Lord we Thank You today that; we know that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that every voice that speaks out against us shall be bought to great shame, Thank You that You have promised us that; When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries, Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?, If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you, Hate evil, you who love the LORD, who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked, 'But I will deliver you on that day,' declares the LORD, and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. 'For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,' declares the LORD, Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you, Yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform, Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. Thank You God, Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. All Glory To our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, who is Lord of our lives.
Now unto You, who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to You be the power and glory, to all generations forever and ever. Who has by the shading of Your Blood on the Cross, and raising from the grave, has proven Yourself, to be more then able to keep us, until the day of Your coming. Today and everyday, for the rest of our lives, we give Thanks unto You, most Beloved Christ Jesus. we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Father, i in the Holy and Blessed name of Christ Jesus, who is Lord of my life, proclaim that our Prayer, and all we ask is already done, for we ask in Your most Precious Holy name, and i commend each and everyone of Your children's body and souls into Your loving, mighty hands, our Beloved Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, Who is Lord Of Our Lives. Thank You Beloved Savior, Thank You.
