VERSE:
Psalm 46 (King James Version)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
COMMENTARY:
This psalm encourages to hope and trust in God; in His power and providence, and His gracious presence with His Church in the worst of times. We may apply it to Spiritual enemies, and the encouragement we have that, through Christ Jesus, we shall be conquerors over them. He is a Help, a present Help, a Help found, one whom we have found to be so; a Help at hand, one that is always near; we cannot desire a better, nor shall we ever find the like in any creature. Let those be troubled at the troubling of the waters, who build their confidence on a floating foundation; but let not those be alarmed who are led to the Rock, and there find firm footing. Here is joy to the Church, even in sorrowful times. The river alludes to the Graces and consolations of the Holy Spirit, which flow through every part of the Church, and through God's sacred ordinances, gladdening the heart of every believer. It is promised that the Church shall not be moved. If God be in our hearts, by His Word dwelling richly in us, we shall be established, we shall be helped; let us trust and not be afraid.

Lord we Thank You that You have not forgotten any of us Your children, and that all of our needs have been met, Thank You for, Your kindness towards us and Your love for each and everyone of us. Lord we love You and give You Thanks, and ask Your Blessings on us all this day. Thank You Lord. Thank You, Father we through the Blessed Holy Spirit, calls to mind that we have been taught; "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him, By His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, May be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, Even so Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham, Even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction, Thank You Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, Thank You. You told us through You Holy Word that; For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you, In famine He will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword, 'No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,' declares the LORD, The LORD is for me among those who help me; therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me, To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong, For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD, When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries, Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?", O' Bless that wonderful name of Christ Jesus, Thank You Lord, Thank You.
