Greetings fellow Christian friends,
The Lord spoke to me in a dream to send you copy of this message posted by Julie Harvey in Bishop DC Miller’s HerSpace group at Ning communities. It is a blessing to me daily and I know the Lord wants each and everyone to received such a blessing today.
“Persevere with God. BE UNFLINCHING IN YOUR RESOLVE TO FOLLOW HIM!!” by Julie Harvey
Persevere in the work of teaching, encouraging, or whatever your gift or purpose in life may be; persevere to keep yourself fit for the blessing. WAIT FOR GOD!
Wait for Him with intentness of mind. Be zealous in the pursuit of Him and in the pursuit of good. Busy oneself about Him and His business. Be obedient to Him. When He calls you to do something for Him and you are watching your favorite TV program, get up and do what He is asking you too!!
Let Jesus help you to flee THROUGH your trials. He will take you by the hand and pull you through, and in doing so, He will make you whole. Run with Him!!
God’s purposes for me do NOT change. Set your heart on God, and He will give you the ability to ARISE and BUILD! (1 Chronicles 22:19,20).
Sometimes we need to put things aside voluntarily, not being like the mule that will not go anywhere unless he is lead by bit and bridle. We need to be unflinching in our attitude when it comes to following God’s will and not our own will or someone else will.
This is a necessity when it comes to temptation. We need to learn not to pay attention to the devil’s temptations. This can be very hard at times. But nothing is too hard for the Lord. He will help us find the way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). I believe we need to pray for God to show us the way to escape, and to help us to recognize these signs for future reference. In this way we will have some understanding at the onset of temptation. The Bible says resist the devil at His onset. (I Peter 1:8-9 - think this is right! - Amplified bible)
We should not even consider that which we know for sure is not God’s will. Yes, this can be very hard. Jesus knew from the start that He was going to die for man’s sins, and yet right at the very end came hardest trial of all – the Gethsemane experience. As Christians we will all experiences like this. We can take comfort in the fact that we have a High Priest who understands (Hebrews 4:15,16).
Whatever is not God’s will, and especially temptations to sin, impure thoughts and the like, we need to throw them out!! Kick the devil out of your mind!! The devil will try and take advantage of free will. He will attempt to get us to stray from God by offering us all kinds of things. Happiness now – this is what he offers us. Have now, pay later. Yes we will pay later. The devil is not one for investments – he is going to hell, so he really has no tomorrow. Therefore he wants us to throw away our tomorrow too. But we need to follow the example of Moses, who turned his back on the fleeting pleasures of sin, to follow God’s plan for his life (Hebrews 11:6).
When we come out of temptation, we will go forward. It will eventually come to an end. Yes, “THIS TOO SHALL PASS”. Take your stand against the devil with Jesus, submitting your will with His (God’s) will. You will be restored and the attack will subside. However, we must remember that the devil will always come back – he waits for a more opportune time (Matthew 4). Even though the devil comes back, the next time we have to face him, we will be stronger and have more knowledge on the subject. This will give us an advantage. However, we should never underestimate the devils craftiness. Sometimes the attack will come in another form. The key is to stick close to God, and no matter what it looks like in the natural – we WILL come through if we are UNFLINCHING and RESOLUTE. Keep on trusting God, even when you fail.
Hold onto Jesus with all you’ve got!! You WILL survive, have confidence in HIS strength.
He will also deliver you from sin and guilt. This is most important if we are to withstand the onslaught of Satan. Once we are under guilt and condemnation it sucks the life out of us.
Keep on stepping and you will see victory. We will GAIN from shunning and escaping evil. Even if this takes time to manifest in the natural, we need to keep on believing. Don’t fret that evil people seem to be prospering and you seem to be going nowhere. It is not useless to serve God. (Psalm 37:1; Malachi 4:1-6).
God has heard our prayers and cries for deliverance. We need to believe this ESPECIALLY when it seems that all hell is breaking loose against us. God can be relied on. He will complete His work. He will make us sound and upright. We will completely cross over to the other side. His blood cleanses us, it is finished!!
We will grow, excel and show pre-eminence. I need to say these things about myself., because this is how the Father sees me through the blood of Jesus!! So this will be my declaration, why don’t you make it yours:
I have a persevering and a steadfast spirit (a right spirit) within me
I can do all things through Christ.
I will continue to grow, excel and show pre-eminence.
I will have an abundance of everything I need to get the job done
I have might, strength and power as I rely upon the Holy Spirit – I do rely upon Him.
I CAN hear God’s voice.
He will enlarge me – bring me into broad places in the Spirit and it will bring strength and vigor to my spirit, soul and body, as I walk with Him. I DO walk with Him.
I will be prepared for every good work
I will be established in the kingdom – certain, firm and stable. Stable and fixed under the shadow of the most High whose power NO foe can withstand (Psalm 91:1 Amp.).
God directs me towards moral sense and sound judgment. I HAVE SOUND JUDGMENT.
God is invincible, even in the darkest times of my life!!
He is teaching and training me to enable me to fulfill my destiny.
I am always learning from Him and growing in grace.
I am growing into my calling and destiny. I have God’s favour and people recognize His anointing on my life.
I am growing in compassion for hurting people. I will be able to help others. I am merciful, and yet I will not be manipulated by anyone.
I am becoming more like Jesus everyday!! Amen, so be it!!
Dear Father, thank you for this study on unflinching perseverance. Help us to keep on going no matter what comes our way, help us be all that you want us to be, and help us to see that you are with us when we go through even our darkest times. You are always with us, even when we don’t sense Your presence. Help us to discern the avenue of escape that you have given us, the road that you want to use to take us through the danger and out the other side, as You lead us in victory, help us to see clearly that we ARE more than conquerors, even when we look and feel like sheep being led to the slaughter. Help us to speak the truth about ourselves, and believe that we can manifest all the qualities that you have deposited in us by Jesus sacrifice on the cross, and the power of the Holy Spirit, In Jesus wonderful name, AMEN!!!!!
