Spreading God's Love Thru Prayer
Yesterday was a Spiritual Brunch with the Girls …
This morning I am taken back to some Saturdays when I was much younger and my dearest girlfriends, my true friends would just pop up over to my house. Some would have come from shopping, some from paying bills, others from participating in recreational activities but they would show up at my house and we would begin talking over the affairs of the week, our careers, and our personal relationships. Somehow we had this homing device implanted within us to know it was a time to gather and renew our solidarity. In the midst of this summit of conversational therapy something would happen. Amidst the evaluations; “I aint never doing that again”; passing on valued wisdom passed down to us; we would find ourselves in the kitchen. Each of us doing what we do best, on a fixed course to make the other feel better by way of a generational tradition, “feed the belly, uplift the spirit”, sisters kissing the boo-boo to make it better.
Well my Yesterdays were re-enacted yesterday, spiritually. My sisters in Christ fed me and I fed them through, e-mail thoughts of wisdom, telephone therapy, prayers-praise; and the Word made It All Better – Jesus Kissed the Boo-Boo away! We fed each other Words from Heaven, our various gifts from God were put into full use, it was a Spiritual Brunch.
Thanks my dear sisters - our bellies are full and our spirits uplifted.

Warnings and Encouragements
1Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 3What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
4"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. 6Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies[a]? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
8"I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. 9But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. 10And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
11"When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say."

"A Motivational Poem
Myself
Poet: Edgar A. Guest
I have to live with myself and so
I want to be fit for myself to know.
I want to be able as days go by,
always to look myself straight in the eye;
I don't want to stand with the setting sun
and hate myself for the things I have done.
I don't want to keep on a closet shelf
a lot of secrets about myself
and fool myself as I come and go
into thinking no one else will ever know
the kind of person I really am,
I don't want to dress up myself in sham.
I want to go out with my head erect
I want to deserve all men's respect;
but here in the struggle for fame and wealth
I want to be able to like myself.
I don't want to look at myself and know that
I am bluster and bluff and empty show.
I never can hide myself from me;
I see what others may never see;
I know what others may never know,
I never can fool myself and so,
whatever happens I want to be
self respecting and conscience free."
