Who You Are and Whose You Are

Do you know who you are?  Do you know whose you are?  

Know as in personal relationship knowing - not mental memorizing words or emotionally responding to words - but personal, up in your face knowing - no doubts? 

It is important to know, really know that you are a born again child of God.  Not because someone told you and you repeated some words and go to church every Sunday and Wednesday or whenever there are services by 'your' church.  No this is not knowing - this is simply showing as in 'behaving' right. 

But Jesus did not go to the cross bearing our sins and the sins of the world just for you to 'act right'.  God's whole purpose of the Living Word coming to earth, born a child, was to make a way out of the letter of the law no way - to save us and provide new life for us here on earth.  We were to come to know God personally as Our Father, as in the one who created new life for us in Christ. 

Knowing who you are - a child of God - begins with accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, which means like the prodigal son, you come to the end of yourself and decide to return home - and God your heavenly Father sees you from afar and runs, Runs, RUNS to you.  Awesome isn't it?!  Do you know God personally in this way - are you aware that God/Love is always with you, never leaving or forsaking you? 

Well, when you asked and accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord, did you also ask your heavenly Father for the free gift of the Holy Spirit?  This is important and key to your KNOWING WHO you are.  The gift of the Comforter is important to your learning and growing into who God purposed you to be. 

So, if you didn't ask Abba, Daddy, God for the gift of the Holy Spirit - do so now: per the scripture:  King James Version (KJV) Luke 11:13:

   ¹³If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Amplified Bible (AMP) Luke 11:13:
¹³If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!

   ^{10 -13}"Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we're in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn't think of such a thing—you're at least decent to your own children. And don't you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?" 

Now pray/ask this:  God, our heavenly Father, I am asking for Your gift to me, the Holy Spirit, for now and forever, in Jesus' name, thank you! Amen.

Now you are on target - and for those of you who had asked and received yet had forgotten about this gift, you are back on target - as in knowing:

WHO YOU ARE: A child of God by new birth/born again experience!

WHOSE YOU ARE: God's - God is Love, God is Light, God is Peace, God 

is Good, God is Joy, God is All in All, God is the

Creator, God is I am!

Meditate on this.

And keep a journal on what you experience on this part of your Journey In New Life!!!
