" Whom Seek Ye? "

After Yeshua had said all this, he went out with his talmidim/disciples across the stream that flows in winter through the Vadi Kidron, to a spot where there was a grove of trees; and he and his talmidim went into it.
Now Y'hudah/Judas, who was betraying him, also knew the place; because Yeshua had often met there with his talmidim.
So Y'hudah went there, taking with him a detachment of Roman soldiers and some Temple guards provided by the head cohanim/priest and the P'rushim/Pharisees; they carried weapons, lanterns and torches.
Yeshua, who knew everything that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Whom do you want?" "Yeshua from
Natzeret," they answered. He said to them, "I AM." Also standing with them was Y'hudah, the one who was betraying him.
When he said, "I AM," they went back ward from him and fell to the ground. (John 18:1-6)

How rich and abundant is the Word of Elohiym with abundant riches. And how many times we miss the mark of divine guidance and instruction so granted to us by the presence and mind of our Adonai. We thank him ALWAYS, for this never ending grace that was also granted to the patience of our Elders and and now unto us His saints. HalleluYah!!

Let us for a couple of earthly minutes journey back to a scene when the clock itself seemed to swiftly move as the time of Salvations path was about to be birthed into the world by an Old Rugged Cross and the neverending and unfathomable LORD of All, a title and name that is well deemed and deserved. Now as always beloved of Messiah theres always a couple of tid-bits we can view, and our understanding can be expanded. Strangely this depiction of the beloved apostle John is a little different in view but if we add the other gospels as One we get a grander picture of the events we have read in the above scriptures, into the comprehensive writ of the situation that is at hand,,,,,

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. (Matthew 26:36), and Mark 14:32. Luke reports the events this way,,,,,,,

And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done. (Luke 22;39-42)
Yes, the well known trip to Gethsemane the olive orchard (gath shemen= oil press). Keep that point, and lets go just a moment back one more time,,,," he went out with his talmidim/disciples across the stream that flows in winter through the vadi Kidron. " This is one more of those little things we talked about earlier. See we must realize there was a whole set of monumental preparations in motion at this time, just for us of the latter day to see and be assured and know that definately beyond a shaow of a doubt this was all by the hand of YHVH and not just chance or circumstance. The Vadi Kidron/Brook of Kidron has a somewhat notable history all in itself,,,,,,

Kidron= turbid, dark, to mourn, grow dark.

And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over : the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over , toward the way of the wilderness. ( 2 Samuels 15:23 )

For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out , and passest over the brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die : thy blood shall be upon thine own head. (1 Kings 2:37 )

And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron. ( 2 Chronicles 16:15)

And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the brook Kidron. (2 Chronicles 29:16)

And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away , and cast them into the brook Kidron. ( 2 Chronicles 30:14 )

Do we get the picture? This was not a very nice place beloved, for it's water and land had been a sort of dumping ground for dead things. We don't pay much attention the land today. But the land itself has history, is alive and needs healing, which can be seen from the very disasters we see raising up as we speak, the scriptures themselves state that the earth as a creature herself travails (Romans 8:19) Oh how man has abused her goodly produce.
Our Adonai and His talmidim pass through this area, a place of mourning after the Passover lamb has been eaten, the bitter herbs and the prayers of greatfulness of there saving grace granted to them by the blood on the lentels of their doors, they travel through this place of mourning, unto Gethsemane where the pressing and anointed prayers of the precious Lamb of Elohiym are lifted to the heavens, where he is so pressed he sweats blood and weeps, where he is then comforted and the angels, servants of His Abba are sent to minister unto him, (where are those that minister unto Him today?) the anointing through suffering that he will carry forth with Him in strength and determination to complete the task at hand,,,Saving of the whole world is on His shoulders, HalleluYah!!! But we are jumping the gun per-say,,,,,,

Now this could get a little humerous,,,,,,imagine all this is about to take place and this same prayer " THY WILL BE DONE " As Moshe before him and all those that carried purpose he knows " THIS CUP WILL NOT PASS AWAY FROM ME UNLESS I DRINK IT." ( Matthew 26:42) And he is pressed, pushed down, crushed. He rises from this glorious place,,,Yes we said glorious! How do we know? The power is seen right here,,,look with me, one more time,,,,,,,

Do you see? Did you hear? It was at this moment in time, in a twinkling of an eye, that was above the reasoning of these poor soldiers that enter into an atmosphere that they are unfamiliar with. But quickly they are gonna experience it! Our Messiah, the God of our Salvation spoke his being, He spoke the same name he gave to Moshe at the burning bush, the very name that every Hebrew child secretly knew because of its power , for he said of himself and them that " My people shall know my Name " (Yesha' yahu/ Isaiah 52:6). And now these people, these gentiles, Oh! did you notice they are there together? Jew and Gentile in cahoots to take Him into bondage Elohiym himself????? " My Father and I are One" (John 10:30)

"Whom do you want?"

Who are you looking for upon the pages of this commentary? This Holy Writ from this humble servant and scribe? Whom do you seek beloved, as your heart is mourning from the pain of life, attached to and made from the dirt of the very creature that is now travailing awaiting the wonderful glory of the sons of Elohiym, that will bring some of His light back into its sick and ailing suffering of the centuries. Mourning together from all the death we have seen and sense to still come. For all the lost and down trodden ones that we are connected to by His Blood, our very brethren, the lost sheep of the House of Yisra'el. Children of One Father, One Lord, and One Spirit. Lift your voices, and CRY, lift up the grief and the suffering, seeking the MERCY of the ONLY ONE that could end this all and grant us the joy of peace and the determined endurance of our heritage. LIFT UP YOUR VOICE SONS OF YISRA'EL, LIFT UP YOUR VOICE DAUGHTERS OF ZION!!! Whom beloved of Messiah do you seek????

He said to them, "I AM."

He said to them Hayah YHVH Hayah! The EXALTED high and lifted up ONE. It is he the Almighty, the SHADDAI, the One and Only Omnipresent Elohiym, Our Lord and our God, Our King and our Salvation, before him there is none and after him there will be none. He is the ALEF and the TAV, the ALPHA and OMEGA. Our wonderful councellor, our PRINCE of Shalom, Our HEALER. HALLELUYAH and HALLELUYAH!!!! My goodness! Praise Adonai, and BLESSED BE HIS NAME, HALLELUYAH!!!

Okay beloved, now heres the finale, how do we know all this is true and just? POWER -DUNAMIS

The WORD spoke and out of His Spirit the words of decades and eons of ages of time,,,,He spoke His NAME. For beloved it was this same Spirit that shone brightly for Moshe and spoke the words of the purpose and plan of His people so long ago. The Cloud and Pillar of fire that protected the nation of Yisra'el and the mixed multitude through the Sinai dessert, that protected them from the death, swords and threats of their enemies,,,,,,,,And they have fallen under the Almighty Hand of Elohiym and the heaviness of the Cloud of his Glory!!! JEW AND GENTILE. We did'nt say it, look in the Book!! What is earthly weapons going to do when you can't get up to use them? Even the betrayer at that moment was humbled before such holiness and righteousness. They were brought down, as we say today SLAIN. Just as when the priest that would enter in to Holies of Holies do, when the weight of the Shekinah Glory was present in the Tabernacle of the Congregation. These dear fellows,,,,,did they understand that they could'nt have touched Him if he had not surrendered unto them? O' Father!!
We don't have t stop here beloved, for this same scenario is played out until it's hour of ending, read Acts 1, read again the instructions. Look for the Passover, look for the brook of Kidron, the mourning and grief, the patience and determined endurance in prayer, praise and worship , being pressed until the POWER from our Father come, this POWER from on HIGH. No it does'nt stop, go back unto the ressurection, go forward to the day of Pentecost, the Jubilee. Can you see it beloved??? It can happen in you this very day, this very minute, the Spirit and the Bride say COME! HE WHOM IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHOM IS IN THE WORLD! (1 John 4:4) Cry with Him, pray with Him, Worship with Him, for all the abominations that you see. His Word is fast, swift and powerful, stable as a Rock, stand on it and speak with your voice cast it on His very breath, if he did this once he set an example for us to follow! So we speak Blessings and Wisom and Power in His Spirit on the Readers, Hearers and Doers of His WORD. HalleluYah unto the Almighty " I AM "!

Where is it you are trying to go?
Pick up your crosses and follow me (Mark 8:34), he spoke,,,, and wait, in your suffering and affliction, wait on Him and be of good courage,,,, through the storms of this life,,,,wait I say on the Adonai Yahshua and He will strengthen your heart..... Whom do you seek?? And he said " I AM ".
