Natural Mountains turned into Spiritual Mole Hills
Natural roads are rough these days. Traveling is difficult and overwhelming at times. Direction grows blurry...getting side tracked makes getting lost much easier. Native American Circle of Friends
The Native Legend says that at the end of the evening, friends would gather around a bonfire and share their hearts and speak of the good qualitites of each other. They reflected upon times shared, as the embers faded, their friendship was said to be sealed anew, bringing them closer together.
A tool for the Christian toolbelt for encouragement and edifying others.
When I am asked to speak at groups: be it either churches, schools, scouts, bible studies, retirement communities...I always enjoy closing with the friendship circle.
This usurally works best when groups are divided into 10-20 people in each. I have everyone form a circle, join hands, and explain to them the friendship circle. Sometimes I will light a candle in the middle of our circle to represent Christs presense and He is the center of our friendships, the head of the body of Christ.
I then have each one take their turn and look at the person to their left and say to them: ...you are special and a good friend to me because...I am blessed to have you as my friend because...you mean a lot to me because..." and give their reason[s].
Once we are finished going around the circle...I then ask for someone to please close in prayer and to lift all of these blessings and
praises... because they all belong to Christ and to His glory. When finsished the candle then is blown out. The responses during and after this have been amazing and awesome! The next time you are in a group or even at home around the table for supper...you might just suggest or offer this as a closing. Being able to witness
the responses from others receiving kind words has been for me just as much of a blessing as hearing the kind words from ones heart. In Christ, Brown Eagle
Is your spiritual height limited? Not seeing much growth lately? Are things weighing you down?
Proverbs 12:18...Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Vices Gal. 5:19-21 Virtues Gal. 5:22, 23
When another makes a negative comment, judgement, statement, opionion... so many times we either believe it or take it to heart. Unkind words spoken hurt, weigh us down, wound the soul, and leave us in pain with years of echos. Psm. 64:3
If we were able to look at it through Spiritual eyes....weigh it on the scale of Christs love and Gal. 5:22 the fruit of the Spirit...(including even discipline and correction)...it should carry much weight. If it was said to us in anger, jelousy, pride...it should carry little weight... but for many of us its weight is opposite.
In prayer and with the Lords guidance and direction...we need to pull the feathers (hurtful words) that weigh us down and discard them. We need to replace them with the Lords words of truth and His words that bring life.
Lord, my prayer lifted is that You mend our wings and carry each of us to new Spiritual heights in You. Ex. 19:4 Psm. 18:33 Isa. 61:1-3 Matt. 11:28,29

2 Cor. 3:18...And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Cor. 4:18 : So we fix our eye not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Earthly eyes see the one outside the mirror. Spiritual eyes see the "One" within. Whose reflection do you see in the mirror?
An example might be....,"Earthly eyes searching or looking"....Mirror mirror on the wall....I'm weak....the Lion in the mirror would reply....yes, alone "you" are...keep your eyes on Me. 2 Cor. 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Crows are one of the main birds that harass the eagle, pulling at his tail, snipping at him. When they do this, the only escape for the eagle is to just go higher. The crow with self works and flapping strength is not enough to keep up or to reach the height of the eagle. They burn out and are overcome by their restrictions. Their bodies weren't meant for the higher altitudes.
There are two things though that the eagles must face. They are the storms and the serpents. They are afraid of neither, but they can discern the difference. They embrace the storms in life and fight the serpents.
The serpent does not attack a full grown eagle, it goes after the eggs or the eaglets or the weak . John 10:10a The thief comes only to steal and kill, and destroy...Romans 15:1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Acts 20:35, 1 Th. 5:14 The mother eagle comes to the rescue, picks up the serpent with her talons, and either takes it to a sharp rock and drops it, thereby killing it or she takes the head in her talons, rips it off, and then feeds the body to the eaglets.
So what do we do with the serpents that come into our lives or the lives of others?
First, remember our Rock, Jesus crushed Satan's head. (Genesis 3:15) Satan was defeated when Christ rose from the dead. Hallelujah! He is a defeated foe.
When Jesus dealt with the temptations in the desert, He used Scripture to counter Satan's attacks. Matthew 4: IT IS WRITTEN...
God tells us in Ephesians 6:14 to stand firm, not to duck, run, or hide... but to stand firm.
Ephesians 6:10-12 Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
A Tool for thought for the Eagle Christian: Is By knowing, obeying and applying God's Word, this is our effective weapon against the serpent. Our sword will never be dull. (Ephesians 6:17)
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
1 John 4:4 You dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Philippians 4:13, Matt 19.26, 2Cor.12:9, Proverbs 3:6 Phil 4:19, Romans 8:37, He will carry us, sustain us, rescue us.
Whisper....over the years I have learned the days we are unable to stand...Christs love, mercy, forgiveness, and grace will be there to hold us up or to carry us!

Whatever you may say or see in the mirror....Gods Word holds the truths.
He is coming back for His people. All people as "One Body" in Christ.
Not a people separated by differences, but a people unified in Christ. Not a people separated by prejudice, but a people unified in faith. Not a people separated by bitterness, but a people unified in Love.
The Bible tells us that the Creator God created us ALL in His image. This means we should stop living by our own emotions and start operating in the Love of God. Instead of stumbling over differences which separate us, we need to look to the One that brings inclusion which is Jesus Christ. For it is He that separates the "wheat from the weeds" at harvest. He is the only one that can bring us together where we have grown so far apart.
As a nation, we need to tear down the walls that stand between us, and replace them with the hand of fellowship. We must replace the hurt with forgiveness and mend the wounds with unity.
"Oh Great Spirit God, we ask that you give us direction on the path of life. We ask that you lead us to where YOU want us to go. We ask that you heal our hearts from ALL bitterness, from past hurts, and place in our hearts forgiveness. Great Spirit God, bring us together in the unity of your Son Jesus who is OUR healer...Amen"
Ecc. 4:8-12b. v. 9 two are better then one...v12b A cord of three strands is not easily broken.
"The Bundle of Sticks"
An old man was about to die. He wanted to be sure his sons remembered an important lesson. He asked each of them to try to break a large bundle of sticks which was tied together. None of them could break it. Then he told them to untie the bundle and try to break each stick separately. They did this easily. Whisper....the Body of Christ is like these sticks.
Matt. 12:25..."Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand." Ecc. 4:10,
Col. 3:14...And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Galatians 2:6 As for those who seemed to be important- whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external apperance- those men added nothing to my message.
Are you one that has experienced being set apart or set aside, one that was not included, not fitting in, not one of the popular kids on the street or in school, wrong size bank account, wrong or no name brand shoes, not welcomed in a new town or church, your outward apperances don't measure up or match...
Whisper...I went to a reunion this summer and was told by many about a certain restaurant. I went with my 18 year old niece to try it out. Needless to say after 20 minutes...it was obvious they were not going to wait on me...so we went ahead, got up quietly, and left.
The peacock is our flashy showy bird. He is worldly, full of pride, and very impressed with himself. He needs center stage or front page. Must be on that top 10 list. He loves to strut his stuff and seldom does anything for anyone else in need. He is the me, me, me bird. Peacocks have a tendency of looking down on others, judging and comparing. Very picky on who he includes into his circles. They are the religious zealots of the bird kingdom, our Sunday show birds.
So...looking into the Word...what does Christ say to us...
Isa. 61.1-3 1b..He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted...
1 Cor.1:26-31 v28. But God...chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things- and the things that are not-
Isa. 49:9 Mt. 11:28 Mt. 5 ;1-12 The Beatitudes..blessed are...1 Cor. 1:26-31 Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in Spirit.
A reminder to the peacocks: Instead of looking at ones-self we need to look at Jesus. He is our example.
Rev. 18:2b "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird."
1 Cor.12:12-27 v. Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. v.22 those parts of the body that seem weaker are indespensable v.24 presentable parts need no special treatment.
Mt. 5:43-48..If you only greet your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
***James 2:1-9....favoritism forbidden...Acts 10:34
Mt.23:27 beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead mens bones and everything unclean.
Mt. 7:1,2...Ro. 14:10...Ro. 16:17...Mt. 18:10-14... Gal 6:7
Precious Lord, you tell me ... that love covers a muliple of sins (1 Peter 4:8b) You do not want anyone to perish. (2 Peter 3:9) we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Rom. 3:28) Lord I need to remember...Mt. 6:14 ...For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ...
As I am getting ready to post this...the Lord whispered... "Lost, but now found"....who would imagine this? The Lord has a purpose/reasons. WOW! I was found abandoned in Chicago at 9 months of age...and placed in Saint Vincents Orphanage there in Cook County. Lord, you have blessed me with many friends who have embraced me in friendship...and have taken me under their wings...from the same area years ago from ones who walked away. WOW! We all fit and belong somewhere. In the Body of Christ and to His Glory, Brown Eagle
Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old deacon who always prayed,
'Lord, prop us up on our leanin' side.'
After hearing him pray that prayer many times,
someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently.
He answered, 'Well sir, you see, it's like this... I got an old barn out back.
It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather;
it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years.
It's still standing. But one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit.
So, I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on it s leaning side so it wouldn't fall.
Then I got to thinking about that and how much I was like that old barn.
I've been around a long time.
I've withstood a lot of life's storms.
I've withstood a lot of bad weather in life.
I've withstood a lot of hard times, and I'm still standing too.
But I find myself leaning to one side from time to time.
So, I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side,
'cause I figure a lot of us get to leaning at times.
Sometimes we get to leaning toward anger, leaning toward bitterness,
leaning toward hatred, leaning toward cussing,
leaning toward a lot of things that we shouldn't. So we need to pray,
'Lord, prop us up on our leaning sid e',
so we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the Lord.''
Stare at this barn for a second and you will see
Who will help us stand straight and tall again.

Bullies and Serpants

Whisper....the Body of Christ is like these sticks.Matt. 12:25..."Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand." Ecc. 4:10,
Col. 3:14...And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
The Peacock
It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather;
it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years.
Confinements of Want
Life is not defined by what we have, even when we have a lot.
Luke 12:15 MSG.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1 NKJV
