WE ARE THE Followers OF YAH (God)
A name for the God of the Old Testament as transliterated from the Hebrew consonants YHVH
The holiest name the Jews ever had for G-d was never said aloud. And Hebrew has no vowels, so we don't know how precisely to pronounce it. All we have left is the tetragrammatron: YHVH.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically, when God says, "I am that I am," he is giving the translation of what the word "Yahweh" means. In other words, he is saying "My name is the fact that I exist." Etymologically, the word "Yahweh" is related to words that mean "to be" or "to create."
Isaiah 43:11-12 (New International Version)
11 I, even I, am the LORD,
and apart from me there is no savior.
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
I, and not some foreign god among you.
You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "that I am God.
